One of my favorite parts of this breeding journey isn’t just the puppies… it’s the people. 🐾❤️

Never in a million years did I think breeding dachshunds would connect me with amazing breeders and friends from all over the United States. People who truly get it — the late nights, the excitement over healthy litters, the constant learning, the chaos, and the love behind what we do. 🫶🏼

And honestly? There’s room for all of us. ✨
This world doesn’t have to be built on competition and jealousy. There is so much we can learn from each other when breeders choose to support, educate, encourage, and grow together instead of tearing each other down.

The best breeders I’ve met aren’t gatekeeping… they’re sharing knowledge, cheering others on, and pushing each other to be better for the breed. That kind of community is rare, and I’m so thankful to be surrounded by it. 🐶💕

When inquiring about an ee cream dachshund, there are a few things you’ll want to pay attention to beyond just “light colored puppy.” A lot of creams get mislabeled online, so genetics + breeder transparency matter big time 🫶🏼

🌟 ask about the E locus. A clear cream will show ee which masks darker pigment. This is where it’s important for genetic testing.

🧬 healthy pigment matters - dark nose, dark eye rims and healthy coats are all important things to look for!

🚨ee reds are often sold as ee creams.
Creams & solid blacks are notorious for hidden dapple.

A responsible breeder should willing to show & have on hand:
☀️ Embark or another DNA panel, PRA status, info about parents and their testing.

And honestly, if a breeder gets defensive when you ask questions, that tells you a lot. 😅
