The Madill cruelty case dogs are all settling into their new lives and, for the first time, getting a chance to simply be dogs.

They are receiving lots of love, plenty of good food, soft places to sleep, and the safety and comfort they have always deserved. Watching them decompress and begin to trust is both heartbreaking and beautiful.

Many of them are sleeping deeply and peacefully, likely feeling safe for the first time in their lives. No fear, no uncertainty, just a warm bed, a full belly, and people who care about them.

Their journey to healing is just beginning, but they are finally where they need to be. ❤️

Madill cruelty case dogs update.

Our babies have arrived safely!

We are heartbroken to share more information about the cruelty and hoarding case we assisted with yesterday.
The six dogs coming into OPCS are part of a much larger seizure involving severe neglect and heartbreaking living conditions. According to law enforcement, six adults were arrested at the scene, two children were taken into CPS custody, and at this time one adult has reportedly been charged with animal cruelty.

Right now, our focus is on the dogs in our care and helping them begin to heal, both physically and emotionally. So far, we know they are dealing with mange, skin infections, and overall neglect, and they will be seeing our veterinary team as soon as possible.

Despite everything they have been through, they deserve safety, comfort, medical care, and a chance at a new life. That is exactly what we intend to give them.

Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared the posts, offered to foster, or sent encouraging words. Cases like this are emotionally heavy, but seeing the community come together reminds us why we keep fighting for them.

They will need extensive treatment for their mange and skin infections, which will add up quickly, so please keep sharing their story!

We will continue posting updates as the dogs settle in and we learn more about each of their personalities and medical needs. Right now, they may just seem like part of a horrible story, but soon they will have names, identities, and people who love them. ❤️

UPDATE ON THE HOARDING CASE WE POSTED ABOUT YESTERDAY. 🙌

We were able to tag 6 of the dogs today, and they will officially be arriving at OPCS on Sunday afternoon. ❤️

Right now, they are still just numbers in a very overwhelming situation, but names, individual identities, safety, love, and healing are coming soon. We cannot wait to show them what a better life looks like.

So far, all we know medically is that they all appear to have mange and skin infections. They will be getting in to see our vet as soon as possible so we can assess their condition and get them started on treatment and on the road to healing. ❤️

We created an Amazon wishlist specifically for these dogs, if you would like to send them a welcome gift that will ship directly to us. 🐾

We do want to clarify that we are not personally handling this case, so we do not currently have details about the situation itself or any possible investigation that may be taking place.

We will continue to update everyone as we receive more information.

Thank you so much to the fosters stepping up for them.

This would not be possible without you. ❤️

We also want to give a huge thank you to the Madill Police Department and local animal control for stepping in and getting these dogs to safety. And thank you to Best Friends Animal Society for reaching out to local rescues and helping coordinate placement efforts for these dogs.

It truly takes a village in situations like this, and we are grateful to everyone working together to help them get the fresh start they deserve.
