Happy Tails - Maverick (aka Scar)

We couldn't be happier to share an update on sweet Maverick!

His family tells us that Mr. Mav is doing wonderfully and has already become a beloved member of the household. This sweet love bug has the kindest disposition and is enjoying all the things he loves most, playing in the water, going on walks, and spending time with his people.

Maverick has been settling in beautifully. He did great at the vet, patiently sat through a bath, is already responding to his new name, and is quickly mastering commands like "sit" and "lie down." He's even discovered a new favorite snack: carrots!

His family shared, "We are truly so grateful to have him in our lives. Thank you to everyone at the Humane Society for all your help in bringing him to us. We couldn't be happier to have Maverick as part of our family!"

Stories like Maverick's remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to his wonderful adopters for giving him the loving home he deserves. Wishing you a lifetime of adventures, belly rubs, and happiness together!

Jules is a gentle, shy girl who likes to take her time getting comfortable in new surroundings. While she may hang back at first, her curious personality quickly starts to shine through, especially if treats or gentle pets are involved! Once she feels safe, Jules will cautiously come over to investigate and enjoys quiet affection from people she trusts. She’s looking for a patient home that will let her build confidence at her own pace and appreciate the sweet, soft side she has to offer.

As part of our California Adopt-a-Pet Day celebration, Lizzy's adoption fee will be free today 06/06, along with all other available animals currently in our care.

Meet Lizzy! Lizzy may be a little shy when meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for her sweet personality to shine through. Once she feels comfortable, she’s an affectionate and friendly girl who loves attention and enjoys being petted. One of Lizzy’s favorite ways to show affection is with adorable head bonks, and she’s always happy to spend time with her favorite people. Koda is a calm, gentle dog with a sweet and subtle affectionate side that shines through once he feels comfortable. While he may not actively seek attention at first, he shows trust and warmth by happily offering his belly for rubs when approached. He has an easygoing presence, enjoys calm environments, and remains relaxed around other dogs. Koda will do best in a patient, loving home that allows him to settle at his own pace and build confidence as he grows into his new routine.

As part of our California Adopt-a-Pet Day celebration, Koda's adoption fee will be waived tomorrow, along with all other available animals currently in our care.

Round 2! Meet the rest of the Construction Crew Kittens! 🐱🛠️

Ryobi (f), Husky (f), and Stanley (m) are three playful little workers ready to build their forever families 🧡 From zoomies and wrestling matches to cuddle breaks on the job site, this crew keeps life fun from start to finish. Which crew member are you taking home?

All 3 kittens will be available for adoption starting at 1:00 PM tomorrow, 6/5. All adoptions are first come, first served. We will have a sign-up sheet posted on our front door prior to opening, however please keep in mind that once you add your name to the list, you must remain on the premises (either in front of the building or in your car) to keep your place in line. If you leave, you will lose your spot.

All 3 kittens are 2 months old and weigh 2 lbs. They have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date on vaccines. Their adoption fee is $100 each (or 2 for the price of one!).
