Happy Tails: Raphael (aka Raphie)

As Raphael, now lovingly known as Raphie, nears the end of his first three months in his new home, it’s safe to say this fluffy boy is officially feeling right at home!

Raphie is loving life as a mountain pup and has uncovered a personality as big as Lake Tahoe. He’s definitely not shy about sharing his feelings, either, especially through his adorable “awooooo!”

This social butterfly has made some great friends at daycare! His new owner said, "He’s also made one thing very clear, his absolute favorite place is in his human’s lap, despite being just a little too big for it!"

Raphie is happy, loved, thriving, and exactly where he belongs. Happy life, Raphie! HSTT staff and volunteers couldn’t be happier for you!

Summer is 4 years old and has been waiting for her forever home for over a month. She’s our longest-term resident, and not a single application has come in for her.

Meet Denali! This handsome boy is a sweet mix of playful, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy! Denali loves connecting with his people and has a charming way of asking for attention, come a little closer, give him some love, and he’ll happily soak it all in. He’s also always up for some fun and enjoys getting to play and engage with his favorite humans. Denali would thrive in a home where he can build a strong bond with his person, enjoy plenty of affection and playtime, and continue learning through fun, positive experiences. Update: Sly has been adopted!

Meet our newest little crew! From the playful Breakfast Club to our two mysterious kitties, these five are ready to find their people!

The Breakfast Club!
Waffles (F): Playful, curious, and always ready for some fun!
Pancake (M): The silly one of the group, full of playful kitten energy and mischief!
Biscuit (F): A little more reserved, but playful and sweet once she warms up.

UPDATE: Sly has been adopted!!!
The Shadow Kitties!
Onyx (M): Handsome, affectionate, and playful! He loves cuddles, pets, and being close to his people.
Sly (M): Sweet and playful with a big love for attention, cuddles, and being held.

All 5 kittens will be available for adoption starting at 1:00 PM tomorrow, 06/28. All 5 kittens are 5 months old. They have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date on vaccines. Their adoption fee is $75 each (or 2 for the price of one!).

**TAIL TALK IS BACK!**

This Friday, we’ll introduce you to Elsa, a sweet 1-year-old girl who has been waiting for her turn to find her forever family.

Elsa arrived at HSTT with her sister, Anna. Anna found her family pretty quickly, but Elsa has now been with us for about a month, patiently waiting for her own happy ending. Once Elsa gets comfortable, her silly, playful personality really shines! She loves walks, affection from her favorite people, and showing off her goofy side by jumping and chasing balls.

Meet Tostito! This handsome guy has a little bit of everything: a curious explorer, a serious treat lover, and a total softie once he gets comfortable. Tostito loves checking out his surroundings, but his favorite discovery might just be a person to lean against. Once his human sat down, Tostito happily put his paws up and melted right in. A loving home with someone ready for an affectionate, enthusiastic companion and plenty of positive training would be ideal for Tostito.
