Tips & Tricks to keep your pets hydrated during this especially hot month:
1. Always keep clean, fresh water accessible.
2. When you are on the go with your pet pack a portable water bowl & some bottled water.
3. Drop a few ice cubes in your pets water bowl to encourage drinking.
4. For especially picky pets offer multiple water bowls throughout the area they inhabit.

☀️🐾 **Summer Fun Starts Here!** 🐾☀️

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy sunshine, walks, hiking, beach trips, and backyard adventures with your furry family members. While you're making memories together, don't forget that hot weather can become dangerous for pets much faster than it does for us.

🌡️ **Help prevent heat stroke:**
🐶 Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
🌳 Walk during the early morning or evening when temperatures are lower.
🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car—even for a few minutes.
🐾 Check pavement with your hand. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws.
❄️ Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.

⚠️ **Signs of heat stroke include:**
• Excessive panting or difficulty breathing
• Drooling more than usual
• Bright red or pale gums
• Weakness, vomiting, stumbling, or collapse

Heat stroke is a medical emergency. If you think your pet may be overheating, move them to a cool area, begin cooling them with cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.
