FEATURED DOG OF THE WEEK: PERCY!
“It’s Thursday and my featured week is almost up, so I wanted to hop on here and show you my beautiful smile! If you take me home, you can wake up to this smile every morning!”

Percy is a senior boy who cares more about getting good scratches than he does about treats or toys. He has some skin and ear issues and is going blind, and as a result he needs a foster/rescue who will be able to help him decompress and heal. 🐾❤️ RESCUE ONLY — A SECOND CHANCE❤️🐾

These dogs need experienced rescue placement, support, and an opportunity for a brighter future. Rookie, Ocean, Waldo, Easter, Percy, and Beauty are currently looking for rescue placement.

Each of these dogs has individual behavioral and/or medical needs that make a traditional adoption placement unsuitable at this time. They need experienced rescue organizations that can provide the structure, training, medical attention, decompression, and support they need to succeed.

They may need a little more help than others, but they still deserve an opportunity for a brighter future. ❤️

🐶 Brookie — Young, high-energy Lab/Hound mix who needs experienced behavioral support and work on dog reactivity.

🐶 Ocean — Food-motivated and obedient mixed breed who needs support with specific reactivity and resource-related behaviors.

🐶 Waldo — Young Cattle Dog mix who becomes easily overexcited and mouthy during play and would benefit from structure, training, and an appropriate outlet for his energy.

🐶 Percy — Senior dog with several medical concerns who experiences increased stress in the kennel environment and would benefit from rescue placement.

🐶 Beauty — High-energy girl who requires an experienced rescue capable of providing strong structure, management, and behavioral support around other dogs.

🐾 WE NEED DOG WALKERS! 🐾

Can you give ONE HOUR A WEEK to a rescue dog?

That’s what we’re asking. ❤️

Our dogs at Pitties & Pals are waiting for their forever families, and while they wait, they need people who will show up for them.

We’re looking for volunteers 21+ who can commit to ONE WALKING SHIFT EACH WEEK at our kennel in New Egypt, NJ.

🐕 WALKING TIMES:
Monday–Saturday: 10 AM or 5 PM
Sunday: 10 AM

Just one of those shifts. Once a week.

For you, it’s an hour.

For them, it’s getting out of their kennel. A chance to stretch their legs, explore, play, get one-on-one attention and simply enjoy being a dog.

And that hour matters more than you might realize. ❤️

You don’t need rescue experience. We’ll teach you what you need to know.

Once you get involved, there are plenty of other ways to be part of Pitties & Pals too, from adoption events and outings to transports and fundraisers.

But right now, what our dogs REALLY need are walkers who can make that one-hour-a-week commitment.

“I may be losing my eyesight but that doesn’t mean I can’t find my toys! I especially like to hold them in my mouth and walk around showing them off to you! Most of all though I really like pets and scratches. Give me a good b***y scratch and you’ve got my heart!”

FEATURED DOG OF THE WEEK: PERCY!
“My name is Percy and this is a picture of me on the first day that I came into the shelter. I had been left alone with my two fur siblings when my owner passed away. It was really scary and we were all separated and now I’m alone in the shelter and losing my eyesight. I would really love for someone to come take me home and be patient with me as I learn how to live this new life. I’m a really sweet older guy and I just need a safe place to live out my senior years. Can you help me?”

SHADOW’S AMAZON WISHLIST!

Our sweet girl Shadow, originally from Ewing/ Trenton turned down by two shelters and almost abandoned, has been in a private foster home for the past 2 months, and we are SO excited to share that we finally have a rescue who has committed to her!

We created an Amazon Wishlist with a few things Shadow could really use as she continues her journey. We’ve added items like a leash and no-pull harness to help with her walking, along with some of the food and treats she is currently on. Even sending one small item would mean so much!

We truly cannot thank Shadow’s amazing foster mom and her family enough for everything they have done for her over these last two months. They stepped up for a dog who desperately needed someone and have been there through all of her ups and downs.

Shadow came to us with many health issues, but she is finally on the mend! We are also incredibly grateful for a very special angel who has quietly helped cover the cost of some of Shadow’s veterinary appointments. It truly takes a village.

And now Shadow is getting ready for her next chapter!
