No one likes finding ticks on themselves or their dogs—they can leave us feeling itchy, uncomfortable, and worried. Even more concerning, some ticks carry diseases such as Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and Ehrlichiosis. These illnesses can cause symptoms like joint pain, lethargy, and decreased appetite. If left untreated, they may lead to more serious issues such as anemia and kidney damage.

The good news is that prevention is simple and effective. Monthly preventatives like Simparica Trio, Bravecto, or NexGard, as well as longer-lasting options like the injectable Bravecto Quantum, help stop ticks before they can attach long enough to transmit disease.

Annual tick testing is also recommended to ensure your pet remains healthy and protected. Staying consistent with both prevention and yearly testing is the best way to keep your pet safe and happy all year long.

Bear was having so much fun hanging out with our reception team a couple of weeks ago 🐾💙

He quickly learned that being a good boy and being adorable comes with plenty of treats 🍪🐶 He soaked up all the attention, snacks, and love while making everyone smile!

Safe to say Bear definitely won over the front desk crew 🥰

🐾 Tobi and Marnie came in a few weeks ago for their yearly nose-to-tail checkups! During their visits, they also stayed up to date on vaccines and had wellness bloodwork performed. 🩺💉 It’s always a great feeling to confirm our patients are happy, healthy, and thriving. ❤️ Great job to their family for keeping them on top of their preventative care! 🐶🐶
