We received a super sweet about a recently adopted black and white Shih Tzu mix!

Nemo (previously known as Danica) has settled in quite nicely. She has learned how to play with her sister Dory and loves running around in her backyard. She is the boss dog of the crew and her sister Dory follows her quite nicely.

Sponsor shout out to Amoco! If you’ve ever filled up your gas tank at Max’s Amoco in Topeka at the Puppy Pump (pumps 7&8), 2 cents from every gallon was donated to HHHS thanks to Amoco’s generous support and partnership.

Thanks to Bone Appétit sponsors, we raised the largest amount we ever have at this fundraiser! We even surpassed our goal of $130,000 to help us continue daily care of the animals, building repairs, and more.

Cormac - the dog pictured here who was at Bone Appétit - is now in a foster to adopt home with someone he met at the event!

Thank you, Magellan Financial, for sponsoring Bone Appétit! We had an amazing event this past Saturday with a room full of people passionate about supporting pets in need. Cutie pie Ghost pictured here did wonderful and had a great time in the crowd. He is still looking for a home!

Events like this wouldn't be possible without sponsors like Magellan Financial. We appreciate you more than words can say!

Thank you!!! Whenever we share our needs, the community steps up to help. ❤️🐾 We posted that we were in need of a 16 gallon shop vac to help when there’s water in the shelter basement, and a friend of Hammie’s adopter dropped one off at HHHS not long after! Jerry our lead in maintenance had stars in his eyes when we saw it. 🤩

Someone also dropped off another shop vac, and don’t worry, we’re gonna work hard to put all your donations to good use. From bags of pet food that accidentally get torn to Timothy hay messes for our pocket pets, there are plenty of clean up opportunities. 🧹 Thanks to those who have brought in milk bones, canned pumpkin, tuna, hot dogs, whipped cream, ordered Dawn dish soap and Andis blades online…we are always so grateful to receive your donations!

It’s , and we are in need of size 40 Andis clipper blades and martingale collars for foster dogs! ❤️🐾

Both of these items can be found on our Amazon wish list. Earlier this year we asked for new clippers which help with shaving pets before surgery and for those with bad mats. The size 40 blades help give the closest shave and we are in need of replacements!

Martingale collars are so helpful to make sure dogs don’t slip out of them as they head off to foster homes.

Thank you so much for your support as always!
