Whether you're building confidence in the saddle or seeking quality, caring boarding, our barn is a place where horsemanship grows and horses thrive. The realization of a lifelong dream - Oak Meadows came together to celebrate the horse. We wanted an environment that allowed horses and people to interact together and learn and play. Leah Imsand, owner and instructor, is a firm believer in being na
tural with horses and is currently working through the levels of the Parelli Natural Horsemanship program. Whether you are a first time horse owner or a seasoned horse person, we offer a safety net with lessons and boarding. Our Boarding facilities consist of a 14 stall barn which includes a tack room (complete with refrigerator) and separate parking, and room for horse trailers. Boarders have access to all facilities on the property, including: all arenas, pastures, round pen, barrels, poles, and other horse toys. Leah is always available to answer questions and help with horsemanship, riding, horse management, and normal preventative health care. We teach a balanced seat in both Western and English disciplines, and incorporate bareback work to improve the student's seat and balance. Our lessons are centered around the principles of natural horsemanship as taught in the Parelli Natural Horsemanship program. Students will learn to build a partnership with their horse using the principles of Love, Language and Leadership. The focus of every lesson is not only to help the student improve in his or her horsemanship skills, but also to enjoy the experience of working and playing with horses. Our School Horses are specially selected for their dispositions and "Horsenalities", and go through extensive training before earning the badge of School Horse! We teach each student how to communicate with the horse, and how to recognize the horse's communication back to them.
