This evening we'd like to introduce you to a brave little soul who truly needs your help. His name is Tommy and he's getting a new lease on life thanks to some caring people who got him the help he needed before it was too late.
Tommy recently came into our care with one of the most severe skin infections we've ever seen, a result of untreated ear mites and relentless scratching. The pain and discomfort he endured must have been immense.
Despite everything he's been through, Tommy is a gentle and sweet cat who is already showing us glimmers of his true personality. His friendliness shines through. He desperately wants to be loved and cared for.
He has received initial medical treatment to remove the dead skin and clean his wounds. Now, the real healing journey begins. He will need weeks if not months of care, medication and multiple rechecks with the vet to ensure he's healing properly and doesn't require further treatment. It's a long road ahead, but we know he's worth every bit of it.
This is a true medical case, that will incur significant medical costs as his healing continues for an indefinite amount of time. To ensure we can provide Tommy with all the follow-up care he needs, we're starting a medical fundraiser. Every donation, no matter how small, will directly support his ongoing treatment and help us continue to say "yes" to other cats in need who arrive with similar medical challenges.
