DogworksOhio Dogworks is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization based in Toledo, OH. Our purpose is to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome dogs.

All dogs are located in foster homes throughout the hour radius we serve. Dogworks is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group based in Toledo, OH, whose purpose is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, neglected, and unwanted dogs. Most dogs are rescued from euthanizing shelters, although some come to us from relinquishing owners or other means. All dogs are fostered in volunteer homes until a

doption. We do not have a shelter or kennel facility. We strive to rescue as many dogs as we can, but the need for new fosters and volunteers is crucial to our continuing efforts!

🍀 Fiona Is Still Waiting… 🍀

Back on St. Patrick’s Day, Fiona’s world changed forever. After losing her mama shortly after birth, Fiona and her siblings were given a second chance thanks to the dedication of their foster family, who bottle-fed them around the clock and helped them grow into happy, healthy puppies.

Now, while many of her siblings have found their forever homes, Fiona is still patiently waiting for someone to choose her.

Fiona is full of puppy love, playful energy, and endless potential. She has overcome so much in her young life and deserves a family of her very own to continue her journey. Whether it’s playing in the yard, snuggling on the couch, or learning new things, Fiona is ready to be someone’s best friend.

We know her perfect family is out there—we just need to help them find her.

Many of you have been asking for an update on Maya!

Maya was found as a stray and taken to the Wood County Dog Shelter before making her way to Dogworks. We’re happy to report that she is doing fantastic! She’s steadily putting on weight, and once she reaches a healthy weight, she will be able to be spayed and have the rest of her vetting completed. In the meantime, she’s soaking up all the love and care she deserves and truly living the good life.

A very special thank you to her amazing foster family for opening their home and helping Maya thrive. Because of their love, patience, and dedication, she has blossomed into a happy, healthy girl.

Thank you to everyone who has followed her journey and cheered her on along the way. Enjoy these updated photos of our beautiful girl! ❤️🐾

🎉❤️ ADOPTED: Peanut ❤️🎉

When Peanut came to Dogworks, her world had been turned upside down. After the heartbreaking loss of her owner, this sweet senior girl found herself searching for comfort, stability, and a place to call home once again.

As senior dogs often wait longer for families to choose them, we were especially hopeful that Peanut would find someone willing to look beyond her age and see the incredible companion she is. Thankfully, the perfect family did just that.

Today, we are overjoyed to share that Peanut has found a loving forever home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by comfort, kindness, and love.

While losing her owner was a difficult chapter in Peanut’s story, we know her former owner would be smiling knowing she is safe, cherished, and beginning a wonderful new adventure.

Thank you to everyone who helped Peanut along her journey, from her foster family to our supporters and volunteers. Most importantly, thank you to her adopters for opening your hearts to a senior dog and giving her the happy ending she deserves.

They may have left the event without finding their families today, but we’re hopeful their special people are still out there waiting to meet them. ❤️
