We had a very special guest come in to West Suburban! Everyone meet Franko! 🐾

A few months ago, Franko was diagnosed with a cranial cruciate tear (think ACL for humans), and was referred to West Suburban Animal Hospital to consult with Dr. Thompson for possible surgical repair. After reviewing the case, it was recommended for Franko to undergo TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery to get him back in working order!

Franko, an 11-year-old German shepherd police canine, is certified in narcotics detection and suspect apprehension. Originally imported from Germany, he was paired with his handler in 2016 and subsequently completed the Von Der Haus Gill police canine academy. For over a decade, Franko has dedicated his service to the citizens of Coldwater, Ohio, and Mercer County, providing invaluable assistance in maintaining public safety. He resides with his longtime handler and has become an integral part of the family.

Please help us and wish Franko a smooth and speedy recovery! We love you Franko, and we are honored to be apart of your recovery! We are so thankful for your service! 🐾
