A relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop guided by an experienced host. All supplies included and beginner-friendly vibes. Come early for a quick tour of the sanctuary!

VOLUNTEER TRANSPORTERS NEEDED 🥬🍉🥕

Do you live in Newport County and have reliable wheels? Do you want to help our rescued farm animals and wildlife by contributing a few hours a week? WE NEED YOU!

Our friends at A Market Newport donate fresh produce to our animals, but we need your help getting it to the sanctuary in Tiverton.

West Place has been serving local wildlife for nearly two decades. When our sick, injured, and orphaned birds are ready to return to the wild, we don't just kick them out. We perform a "soft release" and integrate them into the sanctuary and aquatic habitats. The birds tell us when it's time to go for good.

The baby mallards are building up their strength and confidence. Soon, they will take off to begin their new lives and do wild mallard things. 🦆

As part of the South Coast Artists, Inc. Open Studio Tour, we're offering 4PM tours of West Place Animal Sanctuary. 🖼

These late afternoon tours will give you a glimpse of the dinner routines and end-of-day animal care, and you'll meet the rescued farm animals who inspire the local artisans creating artwork and crafts for our Gift Shop.

Explore the art sale before or after the tour (sale begins at 11AM on Saturday and Sunday).

Tuesday's community remembrance ceremony is OPEN TO ALL and will honor the survivors who are still with us 10 years after the Westport animal cruelty case.

A FREE TOUR of the sanctuary is open to Westport residents with advance registration at westplace.org/westport. Few spaces remain.
