Well, we’re just a week past Rio’s very 1st birthday.

While he didn’t get his wish of a forever home yet, we’re hoping it is coming soon!

Rio has spent quite a bit of time in the shelter life and would really like a place to call home. There’s nothing wrong with Rio, he unfortunately has just been pretty overlooked. He’s a little shy as he hasn’t experienced a lot yet, but he’s ready to learn and has plenty of love to give. A little training and patience will make all the difference for this guy! 🐾 We are proud to announce that Friends of the Animals is partnering with Pets for Patriots to help veterans and their families find a new companion animal and give both the pet and adopter a renewed sense of purpose and companionship.
Through this partnership, we hope to connect loving shelter animals with the heroes who have served our country. Many of our animals are looking for a second chance, just like many veterans are looking for comfort, support, and unconditional love.
Adopting a shelter pet can bring friendship, emotional support, and healing to both the animal and the family welcoming them home. We are honored to work with an organization that shares our mission of giving deserving animals and deserving people a brighter future together.
