Three's Company!

This looks like an ordinary photo of some pigs (with Liza the chicken standing guard) snoozing in their house but it's much more. In the right hand corner is Rosie. Rosie has been a very independent girl since she got here but with winter coming, we were really hoping she would cozy up to some of the other pigs. We put her in Pixie and Oscar's yard a few weeks back and last night she finally made her way into the cottage from her little studio apartment. Pigs sleep together is wonderful for their well being and keeping warm as the nights get colder. We are looking forward to checking in and seeing her closer and closer to Pixie and Oscar. 😍😍

Unfortunately, we won't be able to get to the Howl & Growl today. We were hit hard by the storms in the East Mountains last night. We spent the night digging trenches so the house wouldn't flood. At one point, I was walking through 4" of water to get to the Puppy Casita. We are a muddy mess today. The good news is all the animals are fine ❤️.

We are so sad that we won't be at this great event. It's so fun and I recommend folks go by to check it out. We will need to figure out how we can get Robby's head shaved if the goal is met 😆.

Stay safe in these crazy storms!

We have a new batch of pig paintings for the Howl & Growl tomorrow! Even Nico got to do one. This event is really fun with all the vendors and a costume contest for the pets. Many of the vendors will have trick-or-treats for the kids. We hope to see lots of folks there!

The Howl & Growl is such a great event! As one of the non-profit vendors we are hoping the goal is met. And if it is met, our Robby is going to be one of the folks having their head shaved. We will make sure he was a Safe Place Beanie to keep warm 😆

Today was goat day! Dr. Clark and Rebecca came by for hoof trims and vaccinations and the goats brought their silly selves!

A home visit like this is a big expense. If you like to sponsor one of our goats, take a look at the animal page on our website and find your goat love connection ❤️❤️

Six pigs. One comfy mattress. Zero pigs using it. Apparently the floor is where the cool kids sleep.

I wanted to send a thank you out to those of you who have sent donations and gifts from the wish list for the casita family. Some were anonymous and some were from new friends I haven't met yet. I'm so touched that you see the important work we are doing and choose to support it. I am so grateful!

Mama Grace and little Frankie are doing great! Frankie has already figured out to climb out of the pool we use for a whelping box and his eyes aren't even open yet! He continues to gain weight and is starting to be vocal. Grace is learning to be comfortable outside, enjoying peanut butter and just today, she showed a relaxed smile. After 6 days of looking like she was in shock, this is a big deal!

More updates to come!
