Babies are 5 weeks old now, so they will be ready to go in 3 weeks after weaning. The solid chestnut is a doe and the broken chestnut is a buck! Please contact me here if you are interested. I will look back at notes and see who was first and work down the list. There will be a slight discount due to their missing ear tips.

These two sweet girls went to her new homes today. My rabbits do not have floppy ears, but occasionally the kits ears may flop as they are growing or due to heat especially. They will stand back up. Sure makes them look especially cute though, doesn’t it?

I’m sad to report that although my doe had her litter on time, she overgroomed all the babies. I was able to save two, both with damaged ears. This was the doe’s first litter and she was clearly trying to figure things out. I’ve only had one other doe do this in the past and she was a fantastic mother to her following litters. As it is, Sweet Tart is being very attentive to feeding and caring for the two new ones, so she’s on the right track. These babies will only be offered as potential pets or wool rabbits. I am very choosy if they go to pet homes to make sure they will be adequately taken care of. The picture is of them today at 4 days old.

Sorry for my lack of activity lately, work has me busy! This picture isn’t the best, but fingers crossed for a litter from these two. Sire would be broken fawn buck “Hersey’s Kiss” and dam would be broken blue chin “Sweet Tart”. They are two of my best wool buns plus they have excellent attitudes, so I look forward to seeing their kits! ALSO, this litter will be pedigreed for those looking for 4H possibilities.
