I waited a week for my apt to get our phone line fixed. They would be here from 8-5. Then first thing yesterday I get an email saying they would be here from 8-12. Did not show up. Then a little later I get an email saying they would be here 8-5. Waited , had to get a neighbor to stay here because I had to pick up Lucky and drop off Pearlie from the vet. Her staples all popped out of her tumor removals. That wonderful century Link didn’t show up either time. Now they say they can’t come back till Tuesday! Terrible way to treat business customers! Why do I need to keep my phone? . By the way, you people who only want to see the happy stuff, well rescue isn’t always happy & good. We see the worst of the worst. It is all part of it!

Little Marley got adopted today. We are so happy but very sad to see her go. Marley was only 11 months old with lots of energy. She loved Walter, but needed her own family to love her. Walter will surely get another friend soon. Paddy, Harley, KitKat, Sugar, Lucky, Millie, Greg, Jill & even rRufus hang with Walter in the morning & evening at clean up, feeding time for the donkeys, goats & horses. They all have a great time together. Be happy little girl!

EVERYONE MADE IT HOME!!!! Was a very busy day yesterday. I had to pick up LuluBelle! She is home and doing great! The Flying J truck stop boys were neutered and they were so happy to be out and not living out on the interstate in Gallup! When they were in the vet they were referred to as Sunflower One & Two. But we named them JJ & Trucker! Thanks to CMM Pet Recovery for rescuing them. They are the sweetest dogs and just want to stay together and have a great home. So friendly and loving. Brought them to sunflower first to decompress a little and run around ! Little Lucky went back in yesterday for his little throat to be drained. Thanks to Nick & Earnie for the trailer to get LuluBelles home. Then the two truck stop boys JJ & Trucker were taken to Christine in Los Ranchos who is fostering them for us. Then I got attacked with lots of love! Little Pearl come home too after a bad tumor removed from her tummy. A blind pony, three dogs coming out of Dr. Dixon and one doggie going in. I was so happy to get everyone settled and safe. Hopefully little Lucky will be home today! Happy day yesterday. We don’t like our Sunflowers to be in the hospital away from us. We love out family together. We miss them when they are not here. Now Trucker & JJ have a chance of a great life. We are determined to keep these two together. They protected each other out in the middle of nowhere against all the predators. Trucker has an old fracture that has healed in the wrong way. That is why he will always limp. But he is happy & healthy now! Our vet bill was almost $3000. Plus what Lucky will cost today! It went on my credit cards once again. If I fail, Sunflower fails and what will happen to all our animals! It is so bad out there! People we are all overloaded and people keep dumping dogs. Have a heart and STOP your hatefulness! These animals don’t need this. Terrible. Thanks also to Dr Dixon, Dr. Wilson, and all the employees at East Mountain Vet for always taking my many emergencies and doing their best to get everyone back home!

⚠️ Update: this dog has been SURRENDERED to a shelter. The person who found this dog states: "took to shelter, however, owner did contact later and thinks this his missing German Shepherd from August!! Hopefully, he will be home soon. 🙏"

Please spread the word so we can reunite this found dog with its family! FOUND on October 25, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM 87121 near Douglas/pajarito

What a crazy morning! It takes a community sometimes. We have LuLuBelle that went down this morning and is now in with Dr Dixon. Pearl also had to be taken in with a tumor that is not good. Has to be removed immediately. Sunflower 1 & Sunflower 2 that are still there after getting neutered that were trapped by CMM Pet Recovery. Thanks to my neighbor Nick for coming and helping very early this morning. Thanks to Earnie at Ten Points General Store for letting us use his trailer to transport and Nick for getting us there. Thanks to Christina for coming up also early this morning and helping. Thanks to Ashley on her day off from East Mountain Vet to come and help. Now little Pearl & Lulu Belle are safely in the hospital with Sunflower 1 & Sunflower 2. If anyone can contribute it would be greatly appreciated. We had visitors today. Dick was held hostage.! Sugar was on his foot, Paddy on his lap, Milo was holding his hand & arm down, & Harley coming up from the side! 🌻❤️🐾
