Here’s some pictures of Jeff unloading the water truck that he owns and operates. In the hot months he hauls roughly 2-3 thousands gallons of water every two days! That’s a whole lot of water and a whole lot of money. Donations are greatly appreciated, and if you can’t donate just following our page and sharing it as well also helps immensely!

This is Mr. Termite. He is a little over a week old he was surrendered to the rescue a few days after he was born. He was born perfectly healthy then one day while his previous owners were away he got an injury that led to his back legs not working anymore. He’s very spunky and full of determination to walk on his own. Jeff has been working with him to help stimulate his back legs and we are seeing a little bit of change! Videos of termite will be in the comments.

We are a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) charity operating in Tijeras, New Mexico. We serve to protect equine, bovine, ruminants, camelids, poultry and pigs from abuse and neglect, provide relief for owner surrenders, and help educate the community about these amazing animals. We have been doing this work for almost 30 years (since 1999) and appreciate the love and support as we continue to grow and serve the needs in our area.

This sheep was found this morning not seeming like its normal self; it has been separated and brought in for closer monitoring. We're not sure what's going on, but we will update when more information is known. Please share this post and, if possible, donate to the rescue to help cover the cost of the vet bill so we can get this precious baby back to normal.

‼️UPDATE‼️ This is Memphis, and something has happened that is causing him to have trouble standing on his own. Please share and interact with this post if you're unable to donate, so we can get this sweet baby back on his feet and with his herd.

Memphis is around 8 or 9 could be older. Jeff got him 3 years ago. He's eating and drinking just fine and can move some. We haven’t seen him up much since we separated him, we’ve been keeping a close eye on him and will continue to update.

Come down and meet Zia and her friends in the petting zoo/ horse rides at the Cowboy fest on June 6th and 7th! Zia was born and is still being raised on the rescue, saddly her mom passed a way shortly after her birth so she was bottle fed and raised by the owner and founder Jeff Morewood.
