Who's ready for the warmer weather to spend time outdoors with our pups??

As the sun comes out and we spend more time outdoors with our dogs, it's important to remember there are more risks than just fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites, and heartworms.

* Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial disease that's on the rise-and it's especially a concern here in the Pacific Northwest, where the wetter climate creates the perfect conditions for it to thrive.
Dogs can get leptospirosis by coming into contact with contaminated water, mud, or soil-like puddles on trails, lake water, or even your backyard after a rainstorm.

The good news? There's a vaccine that can help protect your dog!

We are so very thrilled to Welcome our 1st of 2 full time Drs. Starting Feb 17th, Dr. Deng will be an amazing part of Community Pet Hospital!!! We are so so excited to have her on board with us.

Below is a little about her and a lovely photo with her and her dog.

She will start seeing appointments on Feb. 19th so please help us in welcoming her.

🐶 Originally from San Francisco, Dr. Deng received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oregon State University. With a passion for preventative care and surgery, she is dedicated to helping pets live longer, healthier lives. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking with her shelter dog Nellie whose favorite pastime is running around with sticks, and rolling around in p**p. 🐾
