This is Thomas (10 lbs and estimated at 3 years old). He came to us as a peeping Tom when we moved into our apartment. Everyday Thomas would stand at our sliding door just staring inside. We think the previous tenant abandoned him.

One weekend Thomas was gone for 3 days, and when he returned he was pretty beat up. His tongue was hanging out, he was covered in some kind of slick substance and his left eye was swollen shut. We brought him to the vet immediately and it was confirmed he was likely hit in the face pretty hard. He suffered paralysis and it’s likely his eye won’t fully recover, though he can see out of it. Next he ended up needing surgery on the eye, which went smoothly. He has also been tested for feline leukemia and is up to date on his shots and flea medicine.

Thomas is a lovely cat. He enjoys cuddles and purrs up a storm whenever you pet him. He is very laid back, and gets along with our other cat. He is a little scared of our 1 year old baby, but would be great with older kids.

Unfortunately, 6 weeks into living inside, Thomas has stopped using the litter box. We have tried several suggestions, but he keeps going on the carpet. We think he would prefer to be an indoor/outdoor cat, but we can’t allow him to go outside as that wouldn’t be fair to our original indoor kitty. We are so sad that we won’t work out for Thomas as his forever home, but hope to find him the perfect fit asap.
