Model Horse Show- for all ages- horse crazy kids and adults. This is a fun event to make new friends, see neat model horses, and show off your collections.
(Also offering Hobby Horse barrel racing, bring your own or borrow one of ours)
Where: Lane of Dreams Farm
When: Saturday August 23rd from 10am-noon
Bring your breyers, schleichs, peter stone, etc. All plastic ponies welcome!
Cost: $5 total entry, can bring up to 20 models. Visitors are welcome!
Send us a message to RSVP or if you have any questions, can also enter the day of the show.
You can identify your models with a small tag, or notecard to explain your model horses show name, breed, and if your horse is a mare/gelding/or stallion. Please write your name or initials on the back.
Youth Classes: (To be judged 1-6th place and awarded ribbons for how your model best matches the breed assigned. All types and styles of model horses are welcome!) (Will also be double judged- 1st-6th place for judges’ favorite models).
1. Light Horse Breed (Breeds Such as Arabian; Arabians/Part Arabians; National Show Horse; Morgan; American Saddlebred; Tennessee Walking Horse; Missouri Fox Trotter; Rocky Mountain Horse; Spanish Breeds;American Gaited Breeds; Other Light Type and crosses)
2. Sport Breed (includes Thoroughbreds; Standardbreds; Warmbloods; Trakehner; Irish Draft; Oldenburg; Hanoverian; Holsteiner; Cleveland Bay; Dutch Warmblood; Swedish Warmblood; Ahkal Teke, sport horse cross breeds, and/or Other Sport type)
3. Draft Breeds (includes Clydesdale; Percheron; Belgian; Shire; Draft Pony*; and Other Draft Breeds and Crosses)
4. Pony Breeds/mules/donkeys/zebras (examples, Welsh Pony; Shetland; Quarter Pony; Pony of the Americas; Hackney Pony; Chincoteague; Connemara; and other pony breeds and crosses)
5. Decorator/Fantasy Class- no need to assign breed, this will only be judged for Judge’s Favorite. Includes Unicorns, Pegasus, etc. and all colors that would not be found on real horses.
6. Other Animals- any Models that are not equines! Will be judged for judges favorite only.
7. Diorama Performance Class- Make a “shoebox-type” diorama showing your model off- maybe with a rider/tack showing western/English/driving/in the stable/on a trail ride/in a parade- use your imagination! Judged for judges favorite only.
Adult Classes

Bring your hobby horse, or use one of ours! Fastest times win, ribbons 1st-6th place.
