I've been asked a few times about lodge rentals. Rentals are $1,000 per day for as many guests as you'd like, or overnight for a flat rate.

Our Archery pros have setup your favorite woods course to be ran at 4pm with added money.

If you had plans….cancel ‘em and come down to support a local family and have some fun!

I've been working hard clearing out fences and planting fields, and cleaning up the property. This year, I planted final flush pheasant cover along with red and white sorghum. The fields are already sprouting. One left to plant, and that's going into commercial corn. Going have a good variety of different fields to hunt this year and great cover.

Our first shoot is just around the corner, Sunday, May 17th. Look forward to seeing everyone this season!

Stop the Farm Bill Hunting Ban!

The U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture has approved an amendment to the Farm Bill called the Greyhound Protection Act, which would ban “live lure training,” defined as the use of anything alive to hunt or train dogs—including all game birds.

Contact your member of the U.S. House of Representatives and your U.S. senators and ask them to strip the anti-dog hunting language from the Farm Bill.

For help composing your message, you can use the Sportsmen’s Alliance alert: https://sportsmensalliance.org/news/h-r-5017-alert-animal-rights-extremists-sneak-hunting-ban-into-farm-bill/

Sportsmen’s Alliance Alert: Farm Bill Includes Anti-Bird Hunting Language

The NAGA supports the Sportsmen’s Alliance financially each year because the national nonprofit is the first line of defense against the anti-hunting lobby that opposes the entire game bird industry, from producer farms to hunting operations to the sale of birds used for bird dog training and field trials. The Sportsmen’s Alliance is alerting American sportsmen to a threat to hunting with dogs that directly impacts the game bird industry.

They are asking people to contact their members of Congress, and NAGA is joining this call by forwarding their alert. NAGA producers and hunting preserves should notify their customers and ask them to join the effort to defeat this measure.

The Farm Bill is one of the most essential pieces of legislation passed by the U.S. Congress. It includes funding for indemnity, along with farm programs, conservation funding and even SNAP benefits, formerly known as food stamps.

At the eleventh hour, during an 8-hour meeting of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, the committee approved an amendment over the objection of committee Chairman G.T. Thompson of Pennsylvania. The amendment to the Farm Bill is called the Greyhound Protection Act, but that name is highly misleading.

The amendment includes a ban on “live lure training,” defined as the use of anything alive to hunt or train dogs. Anything alive would include pigeons, ducks, pheasants, quail and partridges. In other words, it would ban released game bird hunting and dog training and field trials involving game birds.

This language must be stricken from the Farm Bill before it is sent to President Donald Trump for his signature. NAGA is joining the Sportsmen’s Alliance in calling on its members and their customers to contact their member of the U.S. House of Representatives and their two U.S. senators and ask them to strip the anti-dog hunting language from the Farm Bill.

If you need help with this, you can use the Sportsmen’s Alliance alert to compose your message:

You can also share the alert with your customers to make it easy for them to join the effort. Please email NAGA at [email protected] with any questions or feedback you receive from contacting your U.S. representative and U.S. senators.
