Thats a wrap for this K9 Handler course. Three amazing dogs and amazing handlers are certified and ready to get to work. I look forward to hearing from them and keeping up with their careers.

Its always great to be a part of teaching our school kids about the great animals we work with. This past Friday I was able to attend Chilton County Law Day and do K9 demonstrations for all the 1st and 2nd graders in the county. I love seeing their faces light up and hearing the questions they come up with to ask.

These animals never stop amazing me. The drive to work, and accomplish the task they are trained to perform is fueled by genetic make up and instinct. Training these animals is more than just teaching a trick to a dog but being able to look inside each of them, individually, and see what each dog needs to help them become the best that they can be.
