It’s a beautiful morning to volunteer for a couple short hours this morning ❤️❤️❤️ Bring gloves, and if you happen to have w**d-eater - bring that too! Even if you can only spare 1/2 hour- we could use some hands!

🌼🌼 We will have folks out at the shelter tomorrow 10’ish to 1’ish for an impromptu work party🌼🌼

Ok folks- We are getting close to our buildings getting painted by the wonderful and generous Dog River Pet Supplies and we could use some extra hands pulling w**ds, w**d wacking, sweeping cobwebs, and general outdoor building clean up - so that we are prepared for painting day. If you have some time to spare please stop by the shelter with a pair of gloves and help us get prepared! Eek- we are so excited for this project!

Had a Memorial Day party and now have loads of cans and bottles? Donate them to a good cause!

The mobile cans and bottles trailer is in Hood River at 10th and Lincoln this week- let’s fill it up!

Just bag up your cans and shove them into the trailer door❤️ The doggies and kitty-cats thank you!

Are you a wiz with a power washer and looking to get a start on your summer tan? Or a power washing business that would like to help out a 501c3 Animal Shelter? We are needing to get our buildings power washed this weekend so that we can paint the following weekend. Please send us a message if you can help us out ❤️

Feeding over 30 dogs a day adds up quickly for our small shelter. We have a couple of dogs that are in need of soft dog food at the moment. Our Amazon wish list is updated with both dry and canned food needs. If you are able to help us keep the bowls filled, we thank you kindly!

ATHENA: Irish Wolfhound & some Akbash. Good with children, loves kids. Approx 87 lbs. Needs home as only dog with calm experienced dog owner. Leash trained, recall + basic commands.
Gentle, loyal, affectionate.

🌹 Good News Sunday 🌹

Ivy was the sweet pup that was left tied out front of our shelter- She got swooped up my these nice folks and is on her way to being loved and cared for. We love this happy ending for Ivy 💚

(Yes, the person who dumped her was caught and yes, they were charged with animal abandonment- we take dumping of animals very seriously at CGHS)
