The BFA Select Barrel Horse Sale is moving forward!

We’re grateful to share that we will, in fact, be proceeding with a live sale. While the postponement caused understandable concern, our team has been working around the clock to find a solution that honors our consignors, buyers, and the integrity of this event. We’re proud of the dedication behind the scenes and committed to delivering the sale you’ve been counting on.

A final decision will be made on Thursday, November 27th. Consignors will be contacted directly, and the announcement will be shared publicly.

Out of an abundance of caution, Red River Equine will not be accepting any incoming horses at this time. With the recent EHV-1 cases being reported in the region, we are taking this situation very seriously and implementing every precautionary measure available to protect the horses currently under our care.

The health and safety of our program, client horses, and community remain our top priority. While we have no concerns within our own gates, temporarily pausing outside horses is simply the most responsible decision during this period of uncertainty.

If you have questions about EHV-1, potential exposure, or symptoms to watch for, we strongly encourage you to contact your veterinarian directly for the most accurate, up-to-date guidance.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the owners, trainers, and veterinarians dealing with affected horses.❤️‍🩹 We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed.
