At Equine Athletics Therapy, every detail of our facility was designed with your horse’s safety, comfort, and recovery in mind.

Custom-designed stalls featuring:
-Fully covered 12x16 stalls
-Open front & back design for maximum airflow and ventilation
-7ft solid wall dividers, fully matted to help prevent injuries often caused by open panel stalls
-Fully matted floors with deep bedding for added comfort and support
-Automatic waterers in every stall to ensure constant access to fresh water

Current Cases at Equine Athletics Therapy! For those of you that wonder what kind of cases we can take on here at E.A.T. here is a list of some cases we currently have…

We’re helping horses recover at their best with a variety of rehab cases, including:

• Post-surgery rehab for ligament release & tendon sheath procedure
(This horse had a surgical procedure done to relieve tension in a ligament and help repair a tendon)

• Post-surgery rehab for a torn meniscus
(This horse has been on a stifle injury recovery program to restore strength and range of motion)

• Deep digital flexor tendon (DDFT) injury rehab

• Post-surgery rehab for knee & fetlock chip removal
(This horse had small bone fragments removed from its joints to improve comfort)

• Post-surgery care for coffin bone infection (sequestrum removal)
(Removal of damaged/infected bone within the hoof)

Each program is customized to support safe healing, rebuild strength, and get your horse back to feeling their best.

Equine Athletics Therapy – Summer Internship Opportunity (June/July)

I am currently looking for 1–2 interns to join me at Equine Athletics Therapy this summer for a 6-8 week internship in June/July, it will more than likely be half-days. More details to come soon.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the day-to-day operations of an equine rehabilitation and fitness facility and gain hands-on experience working with performance and rehab horses.

Applicants must:
-Be 17 years or older
-Have strong horse handling experience and be very comfortable around horses
-Be clean, organized, dependable, and willing to learn
-Be able to work independently and show up reliably for scheduled shifts

Internship tasks may include:
-Feeding medications and supplements
-Hand walking horses (some are fresh from stall rest)
-Putting horses on/off the panel walker
-Bathing and grooming
-Learning to operate the water treadmill for swimming horses
-Assisting with therapy modalities
-Applying leg wraps
-Potentially assisting with basic wound management

While this is not a paid internship, I will provide lunches and a wealth of hands-on knowledge in equine rehabilitation and therapy over the course of the program.

I am due with a baby boy at the end of June, so having the right helping hands during this time will be incredibly valuable.

I will be meeting and interviewing potential interns soon and will select 1–2 individuals for the program.
