HAPPY TAILS FOR ROBIN!

Robin was pulled from Kern County Animal Services after her owner made the difficult decision to surrender her. Despite everything she’s been through, she remained the sweetest, most gentle girl.

Today, Robin’s story got the happy ending she deserved she found her forever home!

Here’s to new beginnings and a lifetime of love!

Our Fall Volunteer Day was full of fun, laughter, and so many sweet moments with our pups! We had the best time dressing up the dogs, taking pictures at our fall photo spot, competing in donut eating contests, guessing how many candies were in the jar, painting pumpkins, and of course, spending lots of time playing and snuggling with our furry friends.

Days like these remind us how special our volunteer community is and how much joy comes from spending time together. We are so grateful to everyone who came out, shared their time, and helped make the day so much fun for both our dogs and our team. Our pups loved all the extra attention, and we loved seeing everyone make memories with them!

Thank you for being part of our little dog loving community. We appreciate each and every one of you and can’t wait for more fun days together!

At our Community Spay/Neuter Clinic at Stramler Park, partnership turned compassion into action: 63 pets received spay/neuter services to low income pet owners and 101 vaccines were provided through a free vaccine clinic.
SPCA International, Marley’s Mutts and SOS Dog Rescue - Strength of Shadow covered the cost of spay/neuter services, with care provided by SNIP Bus-Spay Neuter Imperative Project.
Kern County Animal Services, and Petco Love made the 101 vaccinations possible.
We are grateful to the volunteers of Kern SAFE. Their work goes beyond clinic day. They empower pet owners with education and resources, help families understand the importance of spay/neuter and bring humane organizations together around a shared purpose: keeping pets healthy, reducing shelter intake and preventing euthanasia in Kern County shelters.
Behind these numbers are families who love their pets and one less expense standing between them and essential care. Asking for help isn’t always easy. Making that help accessible matters.
To every partner and volunteer who made this day possible, thank you. This is what caring for our community looks like.

Not sure how to help? Here are several ways to join the Mutt Movement. 🐾 Every single one of these makes a difference for Kern County’s most at-risk dogs. And if you can’t do any of these today, a share costs nothing and means everything.
