They were young when they came to us. Full of life. Hopeful. Eager to belong. The kind that says, “Maybe this is where my life really begins.” But days turned to weeks. Weeks turned to months. And now…They’ve grown up waiting. Waiting while others were chosen. Waiting while the world passed them by. Waiting for the person who would finally say, “You’re mine.” We’ve loved them every step of the way—from that first uncertain tail wag to the incredible dogs they’ve become. Giving and sharing so much LOVE ❤️You know we love our dogs and we love sharing them wherever love is needed the most. They have the power to bring a bright spot to any day and a smile across almost every face. They’re the kind of unconditional happiness we wish flowed to every person because when love is just love the world instantly becomes a better place ❤️

The 4th of July is fast approaching and is the most heartbreaking holiday in Animal welfare. While humans loudly celebrate with fireworks terrified animals break out of yards and homes in an attempt to escape the noise and chaos. It’s the biggest intake day nationwide and an extremely stressful time for both the animals and rescue and shelter staff. So many will lose their lives to make room for the huge influx of dogs and cats who will flood the shelter system. So
many senseless deaths as a result of one night of fun.

Please take precautions to ensure your pets are safe and secure. Don’t leave them in yards unattended or without the appropriate identification to help them get back home if they do get out. Your pet entering the shelter means another may lose their life to make space. Please be smart, please be safe and please remember your actions on this one night of fun could forever alter the lives of our furry friends.

Looking for a rockstar dog? A well balanced pup who is fantastic with everyone he’s met? A dog that loves everything life brings and permanently wears a smile on his face? Well then we’ve got the dog for you. Meet Chief! He’s a play yard champion and adores humans of all sizes. Got kiddos? He’s going to LOVE each and every one of them. Got dogs? He’s ready for all the play sessions and to have some new best friends. Seriously this boy is fantastic!

Chief has grown up in rescue. He was originally part of a litter with another local rescue group. All of his siblings and his mom found homes but sadly Chief just lingered. We had the room so decided to help that rescue and Chief out. With our social media reach we know we can get this good boy the visibility he needs to finally find the home he’s waited so long to have. One lucky family is going to get a really good dog!

Chief is a happy go lucky boy. He really never has a bad day. He’s a lover of life and has a bit of a rough and rowdy boys have fun play style. He’s incredibly sweet and absolutely adores children. He’s the fun kind of family dog most people envision in their homes and thats exactly what he’d love the most, a home! If you’ve been looking for a great dog with a happy and fun personality please consider making Chief a part of your life.

Could you imagine being lost and getting picked up and placed in a public shelter. It’s super loud and really scary but you wait and hope your family is going to come. You wait a really long time but not surprisingly they never bother to show. What did you expect….you bore the scars of the life you lived with them. Old wear marks around your neck where they use to tie you up. Evidence that you gave them a couple of litters so they could make a fast buck and broken back teeth they never bothered to fix that are now quickly becoming infected. That was your life. Just something to be used. When you were no longer useful they never even bothered to look when you suddenly were no longer around. Iris’ sad existence was made even sadder when she entered the shelter. Because of her teeth she was not available for public adoption and needed a rescue to give her a chance. In the sea of healthy shepherds would anyone even care? Well we cared! We couldn’t watch this sweet, sweet girl lose her life over a couple of teeth. Teeth that are now going to cost over $2,000 to remove. Is Iris’ life worth it? Absolutely! But we’re going to need your help to get those teeth out, clear up the infection and get this amazing girl healthy enough for adoption! Dog dentals are crazy expensive and removing broken molars is complicated and should only be done by a dental experienced vet. If every root is not removed the infection will persist and in some cases the dog will develop severe facial swelling and even holes from the oral cavity on to the face. Iris needs this dental and we hope you’ll help us give her the medical care she should have had months ago. She deserves to have her chance at a happy and pain free life and for once to be wanted enough for someone to care ❤️

At 11 years old an incredible dog found himself at a public shelter. Alone and unwanted he should have been terrified, given up, no one wants an older dog right? But Bully is here to prove those statements wrong! Age is just a number when you have a whole amazing life to keep on living! And live this sweet boy is ready to do! He’s a lover of life and everything life has to give.

That’s the beauty of rescue. We give these dogs that others have given up on the time and chance they need. Good dogs, like Bully, discarded for something as simple as age. Could you imagine no one wanting you because you weren’t young? We think that’s a pretty ridiculous reason to throw away a life and Bully is now getting his chance because a foster family opened their home and said yes!

11 years young perfectly describes Bully. He is vibrant, fun and one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet. He’s good with other dogs, adores children and hasn’t met a stranger yet. He just wants to be loved and maybe play a few games of ball. Hes past the antics of puppyhood and has the house manners most people want. Hes incredibly social and can absolutely still keep up on all of lives adventures. This is a great dog who deserves the 2nd chance he’s now getting. We hope one of you will give him the home and family he wants the most ❤️

How exciting is the very 1st day of Pawsitive Change? Well it’s absolutely THIS exciting!!!! The dogs can’t wait to get going and we’re equally excited for what their futures will now include. Training, support and a whole second community of people who will have their backs! This is the very 1st day of the rest of their lives. They’re going to do great!

Meet Laika 💕Laika is a 2.5-year-old Boxer mix with a heart full of love and a soul that’s been searching for stability. She’s loyal, affectionate, and oh-so-fun once she feels safe—but what she really needs is you… or rather, someone who can be her calm, confident leader. Laika thrives with structure. She blossoms when she has boundaries, guidance, and a human who shows up for her consistently. She can be shy at first—but with patience and love, she opens up and becomes a total sweetheart. She was adopted a couple of years ago, but due to an incredibly heartbreaking and unforeseen medical situation, her family had to return her. It was no fault of her own—just one of those cruel twists of life. Now she’s waiting for her second chance at forever.
