Premium grain options are fed 2-3x/day based on individual nutrition requirements. Regular scheduling with vet and farrier helps us address any concerns and maintain a high level of care for your equine partner. Facilities offer spacious riding areas for conditioning, as well as stocked wash areas, equipment storage and a quiet environment to enjoy spending time with your horse. Owners live on site and cameras monitor the property 24/7 for security.

-Training board is available on a limited basis. We emphasize an approach that blends horsemanship, farm-based training, and arena techniques to strengthen problem-solving skills in horses. Our program is tailored for various disciplines by focusing on correct biomechanics with experienced trainers. Each horse has a schedule set for their specific training requirements, that includes riding or ground exercises several days a week for confidence building, retention and appropriate physical development.

-Holistic equine therapies aim to treat the whole horse by supporting the body’s own repair mechanisms rather than only masking symptoms. When used in a thoughtful plan, they can help horses stay sounder, recover faster, and feel more relaxed overall. Sessions currently offered are:

PEMF Therapy
Equine Sports Massage
Kinesiology Taping

Something that’s come up a bunch this week is the subject of food.

You’d probably be surprised (maybe not) at the sheer quantity & expense of a lot of people’s supplements; they want their horse to have the best, be looked after 🦄

Layering so many products that are often doing the same thing, literally spending 💸💸💸

It can be hard not to be overwhelmed, there’s so much choice & guidance (aka marketing).

I liked Dr Kellon’s nutrition class. She is affiliated with MadBarn now, but her class is factual, if a little math heavy - but informative!

I love FeedXL & highly recommend; it does the calcs for you specifically for your horse. Not free but not expensive.

As a starting point, horses need forage. Grass, Hay, maybe alfalfa. Quantity required will depend on the horse’s needs and the forage itself. Increasing forage for calories is usually cheaper than increasing bagged feed. Easy keepers may need to be slowed down or have hay soaked.

Next up is adequate vitamins & minerals; usually forage does not contain enough. This is where a ration balancer or vitamin mineral supplement comes in for any horses *maintaining body condition on forage alone*.

For horses who need extra calories due to metabolism/workload, this is what complete feed is designed for; you must feed an appropriate quantity for the horse’s body weight OR an additional balancer/supplement to ensure their nutritional needs (not just calories) are met.

Many feeds nowadays include multiple benefits; probiotics, electrolytes, gut buffers, amino acids; check your labels. If these are included, you may not need to add more! đź’Š

As long as their nutritional & calorie needs are being met there’s usually not a lot more they need. Regular salt & possibly some vitamin e.

A good place to start as always is your DVM, or a professional nutritionist, especially if your horse has a condition or concern you are trying to support or manage ❤️‍🩹

A professional consult is cheaper than spending money you don’t need to every single month on products that may be duplicating each other, or just being passed through the system straight into the manure pile 💩
