Please be aware if you or anyone you know has handled the sick puppies that someone was trying to find help for in town several days ago.
They are confirmed to have parvo which is extremely contagious and often deadly.
This is exactly the reason why we have been advocating so heavily for general improvement of our animal welfare situation in … because people who are literally begging for help have no options and animals with deadly diseases who are suffering are being dumped on the streets. We have to do better.

Our three remaining Poké-pups are in need of forever homes!
They are around 4 months old, two males and one female who are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.
We think they are most likely heeler/hound mixes of some sort. Despite a rough start at life being found in the closet of an abandoned trailer, they have grown into beautiful and sweet pups with very calm demeanors.

We are beyond thrilled and honored to have been one of the awardees of the 2025 impact grant cycle from !!
In the video you can see the culmination of a project we’ve been brainstorming over the last month, connecting the kennels of some of our non-leashable dogs to the big yard so they can be let out to frolic and exercise together!
We will continue to use funding like this to improve the lives of the homeless and disadvantaged dogs who come into our care while they receive the socialization and training to be ready for forever homes!
Thank you all for your support and encouragement, we couldn’t do it without you ❤️

Kevin Update!!
Our big fella is doing just wonderfully with his recovery and is the sweetest guy you could imagine. In the very fitting words of our director’s dad, “he’s just the kind of dog you want to come home to at the end of the day.” 🥹
We are still holding out a tiny bit of hope that his family will find us- someone has GOT to be missing this gentle giant 😔
He is doing a very limited amount of walking (but doing SO well with it), chewing on bones (tru ranch collagen rolls are his fav), and of course getting tons of love.
Thank you to everyone who has sent Kevin well wishes and given us words of support. Please continue to share his picture with those you know and keep an ear out if you hear talk of anyone missing an 85 lb brindle beauty!
