💘 Valentine’s Day comes with lots of sweet treats—and we know how hard it is to resist chocolate… our pets feel the same way!
Chocolate contains ingredients pets can’t safely process, and even small amounts can cause tummy upset or more serious problems. Keeping candy tucked away helps keep curious paws safe 🐾🍫
The most common signs of chocolate toxicity include vomiting or diarrhea, restlessness or shaking, and a fast heart rate.
🆘 If you believe your pet has eaten chocolate—especially a large amount—please contact Pet Poison Helpline at 855-764-7661 right away and have your pet seen by an emergency veterinarian immediately to help ensure their safety.
If you’re celebrating with champagne 🥂, a friendly reminder to not leave glasses with alcohol unattended—those noses are always on patrol.
We’ll be closed on Valentine’s Day, but wishing everyone a safe and love-filled holiday with their human and furry Valentines 💗🐾
