Last week we were blessed to attend the Pet Pro Classics Grooming Convention in Texas with our good friends from Kathy's Dog Grooming... and boy, did we learn a lot!! With new natural products, techniques for different coat types, a deeper understanding of dog's skin needs and follicle care, and learning how to use carding methods for desheds on both dogs and cats, Rae's Place is excited to apply all that we learned!
We even attended a full day on Cat Care and now feel much more comfortable being able to bathe and care for our feline guests. What an adventure!
Professional Development is essential for any business to learn and grow in order to offer the best care possible... and as we hone our craft, we can't help but be in awe of these incredible creatures. A huge "Thank you" to all the seasoned veterans of the Grooming world for the knowledge and resources they shared and the vendors that allowed us to pick apart their product ingredients and ask a million questions. What an incredible experience!
We're not quite ready to venture into the world of dyes just yet, but hey! Maybe next year.

This is Sassy and Ollie. They needed some help and we were excited to do so.
Rae's Place deeply appreciates all of our patrons and community support!! We have been so blessed that we are currently booked up through April. So, to ensure quality care for our existing customers, we cannot take new clients at this time.
Please know that we hate turning folks away! If you have a dog with special needs, such as trouble standing, extreme anxiety, bully breeds or XXL dogs that other groomers can't facilitate, or those that are extremely matted like Sassy here... please give us a call. We may be able to get them in as an emergency groom for an additional charge (because we'll be working long hours).
