It’s the end of day 7. We finally Finished the pond, and the koi are super happy in their new home!

This pond is around 15,000 Gallons it’s a little over 35 foot long, up to 25 foot wide and 4 foot deep.

It took over 35,000 pounds of rock

It has a bottom drain with aerator running to an RDF self cleaning filter, and 2 pumps pumping 15,000 gallons of water per hour.

It has 20 1.5-3 foot koi and 5 hifin banded sharks.

We will be heading back in a couple days to do a little clean up and get better pictures.

the end of day 6 and it’s starting to look like a pond. We are getting close to finishing. Filters and pumps are all installed. We started hiding the liner, and grading around the pond.

We are hoping to possibly finish tomorrow.

It’s the end of day 4 and we have offically installed the underlayment and the liner. the bottom drain is installed and the aerator is connected to the bottom drain. The intake bay is leveled and ready.

Now the fun begins tomorrow we will be running plumbing and rocking the whole pond.

The second day of the build is complete! We were able to dig the lines for a gutter, the pump tubing, and the drainage pipe for the self cleaning filter. We also finished digging the shape of the pond.

Tomorrow we will hopefully level the rock shelves, instill the bottom drain, intake bay and filter. We are hoping to have the liner and underlayment installed by the end of the day so follow along for progress.

Today we started on a big pond project but the store is still open.

This pond will be alot of fun to build because it includes bottom drains, intake bays, and top of the line self cleaning RDF filter, so the water should stay crystal clear.

Our store is open 10-6 Monday-Saturday and 12-5 on Sunday.

2 new shipments have arrived today! This shipment includes our favorite kind of lights that are perfect for plants and bringing out a lot of color out of the fish. We also restocked on pumps, filters, foods, treatments, aquascaping stones, etc. We are excited about the newest version of the the Oase Thermo biomasters 2.
