People who think they know things. Lol. So we had a suprise inspection by the Ag dept due to a complaint. The complaint is hilarious. I mean this person litteraly knows nothing about horses. I mean wow just wow. My horses have been on a strict hoof trim schedule for like 5 years now from a holistic hoof trimmer that is amazing and we feel.truly vlessed to have found her years ago. No one has ever seen my horses with un-trimmed hooves. And yes we had some thin horses after the sickel pod issue. But that is all cleared up. And all the horses have gained their weight back. Our tack fits properly as the case states. I hope she takes the time to read it. The vet came out and laughed. She stated my horses looked fit and in great shape. I have provided the complaint so you can see how insane it is. Along with a screen shot of the vet report. Oh for those who don't know, a fat horse is not a healthy horse. Just because you think it looks good dosent mean it's healthy.
As for smokey. How dare you say we are not caring for him properly. He has absolutely not be ridden in over 2 going on 3 years. And we have no plans to ride him. You can ask anyone.. he has improved greatly and the vet said riding could possibably be in his future but we are a ways off still. We were allowed to put him back in work 8 months after the accident. But we chose after a few rides to take him out of work for an undetermined time. The vet will play part in when and if he can go back to work. As the vet is involved on a regular basis as is an actual equine dentist, chiropractors, and massage therapist. But yeah they go without so much. Give me a break.
