We’ve been keeping the cutest little secret…

They’re here! On May 23rd FOUR of the cutest, wiggliest, snuggliest baby pigs were born on the farm!! 🐷🐷🐷🐷

While one of the piglets (the adorable black and brown watermelon looking babe) was born with a cataract in one eye, they are all healthy and sweet as can be!

First day of camp: SUCCESS! 🐴☔

The rain came and went, but we paid it no mind. Nothing a few extra towels couldn’t fix!

We had a blast today and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

That face you get when they hear berries are on the menu! 😆🦌

Farm family — we (and the animals) could use your help!

We’ve been on the lookout for a couple of good condition used items for the farm with no luck. Anyone happen to have an extra rolling toolbox or chainlink outdoor dog kennel lying around that you might be willing to donate or sell to us for a reasonably low price? We’d be eternally grateful if you’d share our post with anyone who you think might have one of these items!

Here we have a little progress video of our Charlie girl from this morning. If you missed our previous post scroll back a little on our page and see how far this girl has come in regrowing her feathers and emotional well-being in less than a year. Our lady has become quite the confident (and demanding) young lady which is a very good thing for a girl whose lifespan can be as long as 60 years in captivity (in the wild their lifespan is closer to mid-20s)!

Parrot Rehab…what does it look like really? And how do you know a parrot is struggling?

Well, check out our girl Charlie when she arrived less than a year ago…this video is from day one when she arrived to us as a heavily plucked and extremely anxious creature. Our next post will show our girl today as she struts her stuff with all of her fancy regrown feathers preparing to demand that “the help” hurry with her shower and daily chamomile tea..stay tuned..🦜

“Stay! I command you!”🦜
We just learned that it’s World Parrot Day, so let us start things off with a brief message from our not-so-sweet but working toward reformation African Gray Parrot, Charlie — one of the smartest parrot species in the world, and she shows it everyday!

Charlie came to us as a heavily stressed and plucked rescue who was for all intent and purposes not handleable..and given her tendency to swear and fling insults, not really ideal for hanging out near children either, but our girl has come a long way since she arrived less than a year ago last July, and continues to amaze (and entertain) us everyday!

Who doesn’t love a good theme party? Even the pups were in character at the cutest little Birthday party we were lucky enough to attend last week!

Peaches the pig wasn’t quite sure who this new striped farm friend was, but she decided they were pretty cool after all.

🐢🥷 We may have accidentally discovered the real-life Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this week!

While visiting Fort Dorchester Elementary School for an event this week, the three tortoises we brought along were found gathered on top of a sewer lid for the perfect photo op! Coincidence? We think not. 😉🍕🐢

💡Fun fact - did you know that all tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises?
