🐾 Bringing Home a New Puppy? Read This First 🐾
We produce SMART dogs , Dobermans are working dogs , not lapdogs .
One of the biggest mistakes new puppy owners make is bringing home a cute puppy and allowing them to immediately “run the house” with no structure, routine, or boundaries. While puppies are adorable, raising a well-mannered dog takes consistency, patience, and training.
A puppy is not automatically going to understand:❌ Potty training❌ Crate training❌ House manners❌ Nipping and biting❌ Jumping on people❌ Basic obedience
These things are TAUGHT over time.
The first 3 months after bringing your puppy home are extremely important. This is the adjustment period where your puppy is learning:✔️ Your schedule✔️ Your expectations✔️ Where they sleep✔️ Potty routines✔️ What behaviors are acceptable
Establishing routine early is key to success. Puppies thrive on structure. Feeding at consistent times, scheduled potty breaks, crate time, naps, training sessions, and boundaries create a confident and stable dog.
Remember — raising a puppy is NOT always easy. There will be sleepless nights, accidents, chewing, barking, and moments of frustration. The puppy stage requires commitment and dedication. The work you put in now shapes the dog your puppy becomes later.
Set boundaries from day one. Be patient. Stay consistent. A well-trained dog doesn’t happen overnight — it happens through daily effort, leadership, and love. ❤️🐶
