A Manx (The Manx cat is a breed of domestic cat originating on the Isle of Man, with a mutation that shortens the tail. Many Manx have a small stub) kitten with his polydactyl sibling. (Polydactyl cats, also known as 'mitten cats' or 'Hemingway cats', are felines born with a genetic anomaly called polydactyly, which results in them having more than the usual number of toes on one or more of their paws. This condition is caused by a dominant gene and can affect any breed of cat, though it's more commonly seen in certain breeds like the Maine C**n).

Another day....Another neuter!

*Fun Fact of the Day*

~TNR is a long-term solution that requires patience and commitment. It may take time to see a significant reduction in the cat population, but the benefits to the cats and the community are well worth the effort. TNR reduces calls to animal control, saves on shelter space, and lowers euthanasia rates by stabilizing the population and preventing unwanted births.~

For those of you wondering how it all began. Here is a bit of a back story…

Last fall I came up to OH to visit family. On a cold October day I spotted a kitten on the side of road. Being on a truck route I attempted multiple times to get him and he would just run away. Figuring his mother was near by me and the family left and went to dinner. By the time we got back into town the sky let loose and it started to down pour. When we pulled into the drive there was the kitten stretched out laying lifeless in the driveway. With no hesitation my father threw the truck into park, jumped out, grabbed the kitten, and ran into the house. By the time I got the truck to the house and made my way inside he already had the heating pad out and had him in a towel rubbing him from side to side trying to bring life back into this poor little guys body (it reminded me of the original Disney movie 101 Dalmatians when Roger brought life back to the 15th puppy). After what seemed like forever the kitten made a faint sound letting us know it wasn’t too late. I rushed to the nearest store that sold kitten formula and got back to the house as fast as possible. We stayed up with the kitten for 3 hours in his current state until he finally came through. We called him ‘Lucky’ because we figured it was pure luck that saved his life. However he wasn’t the lucky one. We were! He changed our lives for the better. So today he is known as Greyson. The one that started it all!
