The Sturgis/Meade County Animal Shelter serves the city of Sturgis and surrounding Meade County. The shelter provides care for animals that are lost/found, abandoned, and surrendered by their owners. The shelter is owned and managed by the City of Sturgis and operates as a division of the Sturgis Police Department.

The owner has been located! This big boy has been missing from New Underwood for 3 years! We have to question how did he make it all the way to Sturgis? We know how he survived....Thank you Rushmore Office Supply for all your time and hard work spent caring for so many of the unwanted cats in our community.

ADOPTION PENDING!

Baby girl is our celebrity. She was on the run and after lots of time and effort we were able to catch her. She is very sweet and like all puppies has endless energy and is in constant motion. She will need a very active family able to give her time and train her. Because she spooks easily, she will need to be on a leash until she gets used to new surroundings and a new family. She is 9 months old, spayed and current on shots.

Miss CC (Cookies N' Cream) is a charmer. She loves people and is 100% eager to please! She knows to sit & laydown and she enjoys a good handshake. She will make a great addition to any family. Seems ok around other dogs unless they get in her face. Unkown how she does with cats. She is between 2 - 5, spayed and current on shots.
