Dog days of summer are here. ☀️

While my nanny family is away, I get to spend some 1:1 time with this handsome fellow!

We dodged the Florida storm while he enjoyed lots of sniffing, exploring, tail wags, and smiles. No interest in playing ball or even being petted … he just wanted me to sit with him, be present and admire his happy face.

I'd say our evening visit was a success. 🐶

Waiting rooms. Doctor appointments. Holding keys, bags, paperwork, and sometimes emotions too.

Sometimes my role is helping advocate. Sometimes it’s simply being a calm presence so someone doesn’t have to walk through hard days alone.
