We specialize in doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming, and also feature wet and dry food, treats, toys, and accesories in our retail space. 🐾🐶❤️ We were bred from the beginning to be America's best all-inclusive indoor/outdoor dog care facility. The owners of The Dog Stop® spent several years researching the pet care industry, surveying the needs of local pet owners, and planning an all-inclusiv

The Dog Stop management team was honored to host both the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast and the Humane Society of St. Lucie County for tours of our facility this week! We truly resonate with each of their missions, which is really just to give animals the humane treatment they deserve while waiting for their fur-ever homes. Both of these organizations do incredible work in our beautiful community and we are so excited for the future and the meaningful difference we can make, together!

Understanding canine body language is essential for effective communication with your dog 🐶. Here are five simple tips:
1️⃣ Tail Position Matters – A wagging tail doesn’t always mean happiness! A high, stiff wag can indicate alertness or arousal, while a low, slow wag might show uncertainty or deference 🐕.
2️⃣ Ears Tell a Story – Forward ears suggest curiosity or excitement 😃, but pinned-back ears can signal fear, anxiety, or deference 😬.
3️⃣ Relaxed vs. Stiff Body – A loose, wiggly body generally means a happy, relaxed pup, while a stiff, tense posture may signal stress, aggression, or discomfort 🤗➡️😟.
4️⃣ Yawning and Lip Licking – These are common calming signals dogs use when they’re anxious or trying to diffuse tension 😴👅.
