All of our mixes contain only edible seeds, no fillers like wheat, oat or milo here!

The Native Bird is a boutique wild bird supply company specializing in hand mixed seed blends that will help bring your backyard bird watching dreams come to life! We offer a variety of blends to attract specific birds, depending on what you’re hoping to draw to your yard. Some blends contain seeds with shells such as black oil sunflower seeds (a favorite to all kinds of birds) and some are ‘less

mess’ blends which contain minimal shells, thus leaving little mess under your feeder! We can also customize any blend you like, if you don’t see the combination of seeds that you’re looking for.

Hello friends and fellow bird lovers! It’s been a while, to say the least ☺️ I am writing with a long overdue update…

After 5 amazing years of allowing my fascination (dare I say obsession!!!) with birds to guide me into creating this amazing little business, life is pulling me in other directions. With a full-time job outside of making seed blends for our beautiful feathered friends, a desire to gain more education in holistic nutrition, and supply prices on the rise, I have decided to step away from the Native Bird… for now anyway!

My Etsy shop will remain active until my bird feeders are all sold (they’re on sale!) but once they are gone, it’s time for me to fly the coop!

I cannot thank each and everyone of you enough for the support you have given me from the beginning of this amazing journey. Whether you are my dear friends and family, a customer I met at a farmer’s market or just a bird lover who appreciates what I do, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have made so many life long friends thanks to this little business and I am forever grateful for those friendships that continue to flourish.

For my regular bird seed local delivery clients, I still got you! I’ll always make my bird seed blends for my own backyard birds and am happy to make some for you as well :)

Change is in the air! After 3 amazing years, I’ve decided to no longer be a vendor at Market on Main in Downtown Stuart each Sunday. It’s an incredible market and I recommend you all continue to support the wonderful vendors there but my little business is ready to fly the coop! I’m still going to be doing free local deliveries (treasure coast area) and shipping all over the country so please message me with any orders or visit my website and I’ll deliver to your door! I will still be a vendor at the every Saturday thru April 20 should you want to pick up products in person. Have we met!? I’m Katie, the crazy bird lady behind the Native Bird 🦢 I began this little niche bird business because I couldn’t find quality bird seed blends when I moved back to FL in 2020 and decided to make my own. Along with becoming the local ‘bird seed lady’, I never thought I’d also become a clay potter, making one of a kind bird feeders! What a strange and amazing journey it has been.
