Star Equestrians Star Equestrians offers therapeutic riding lessons to riders of all abilities. All lessons are taught by PATH Intl. Registered Certified riding instructors.

Star Equestrians offers OT-informed, horse-powered programs that build confidence, focus, coordination, and emotional regulation through horsemanship for individuals with developmental, emotional, and sensory needs. Trained volunteers assist with lessons. Our lesson horses are well trained, sturdy ponies who know how to do their job well. A typical lesson lasts one hour. During this hour, the ride

r will spend at least 30 minutes riding (riding time depends on riders' age and endurance) with the rest of the time spent learning to care for the horse from the ground (grooming, tacking, feeding, leading, ground work). When scheduling riding lessons, we try to work with everyone's schedule so riding days vary from season to season. Give us a call with additional questions. If there is no answer then we are probably at the barn, so be sure to leave a message!

This old saddle is about to be transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of equestrian art, painted on commission by a talented artist. āœØ

This is the BEFOREā€¦

But this is only ONE part of whatā€™s coming!

šŸŽØ THE ART CONTEST šŸŽØ

Artists of ALL AGES ā€” kids, teens AND adults ā€” are invited to let their creativity run wild and create their own horse-inspired artwork.

šŸ† Artwork will be displayed as part of the Star Equestrians Art Show, where weā€™ll celebrate the creativity and talent of our community.

And there will be winners, prizes and plenty of horse-loving art to admire! šŸ“ā¤ļø

Life has a way of reminding us what resilience really means. ā¤ļø

Our family has been walking through some difficult health challenges lately, and there have been moments when life has felt heavy.

But through it all, I keep coming back to something I see every day at Star Equestrians:

Resilience isnā€™t about having everything figured out.

Itā€™s about putting one foot in front of the other.
Showing up when you can.
Finding strength in the peopleā€”and animalsā€”around you.
And believing that even on the hard days, there is still something worth moving toward.

Maybe thatā€™s one of the greatest gifts the horses give us.

They remind us to slow down, breathe, stay present, and keep going.

Because sometimes resilience isnā€™t about being strong every minute.
Sometimes itā€™s simply choosing to keep moving forward. šŸŒæšŸ“

Our Summer Horsemanship Series is coming to a close! šŸ“ā˜€ļø

As we wrap up our summer classes, weā€™re celebrating all the learning, confidence, connection, and FUN that happened along the way!

Sometimes what we carry isnā€™t visible.

Tonight in our Level Up class, we filled buckets with the things that weigh us downā€”responsibilities, stress, family, work, expectations, caring for others, and all the daily demands of life.

As we talked through each bucket, one common thread emergedā€¦

More ā€œme time.ā€

Time to breathe.
Time to recharge.
Time to remember who we are outside of everything and everyone that needs us.

The horses help us with all of this!

Resilience isnā€™t about carrying more. Itā€™s about recognizing what needs to be set down so we have the strength to keep moving forward.

Todayā€™s horsemanship class included a fun learning activity! Instead of using a regular measuring tape, we measured everyone the same way horses are measured. In hands!

At Star Equestrians, we love creating hands on experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and help children learn more about horses in fun and memorable ways.
