💔 We haven't spotlighted our sweet boy R***R yet...because upon intake we noticed some lameness in what seemed to be his front limb.

We gave it a little time to work itself out, but it hasn't. Today, we did full x-rays and extensive bloodwork to get a better picture of what might be going on.

No clear answers quite yet, but we are hoping for more information tomorrow. He may very well require a CT scan as well.

Please send R***R positive vibes! As you can see...he is just the sweeeeeetest boy!!!

Our medical expenses are already through the roof with OREO's double TECA surgery, 14 spay/neuters in just the last few weeks, vet care assistance for private owners who are struggling to care for their own pets and so on and so on.

R***R'S bill today was $511 but we are pretty sure there will be more to come.

We have only raised about $3,000 towards OREO'S surgery costs which will total $8,000.

Please, we need help in order to keep helping dogs in need.

🐾 It’s a rarity to be out of town for a few days…and inevitably rescue stuff will to pile up and spill over!

BUT, we are lucky enough to have amazing people in our group who are willing to step in and help in a heartbeat!

Thank you to our amazing fosters Marilyn & David for coordinating with Shelton Animal Control and snagging FRANK who needed a safe place to land.

❤️ Meet FRANK!

FRANK is about 5 years old and is the definition of a couch potato. Foster family says he is a champion snorer and makes the perfect noise machine to help the baby sleep lol!

He is easy peasy! Great with all people, kids, dogs and cats! Seems to be potty trained, too!If you’re looking for the perfect roly poly pug…here he is!Located in private foster in CT.

💗 It's amazing how SANDY kept getting overlooked at Bridgeport, Connecticut Animal Control...she really shined in foster care and was scooped up in just about a week's time!

A big part of our original mission was to help spotlight shelter dogs, one at a time at the grooming shop in order for people to see them in a different light. (Many of you have adopted those spotlighted dogs throughout the years and still send us updates!)

An outcome like this is a great reminder of how important this is even still to this day...17 years later!

❤️ Meet PEBBLES!

PEBBLES is an itty bitty scruffy chi mix, about 4 lbs. and is about 7 years old. Her coat is sparse (nothing medical) so she could have Mexican Hairless in her mix, too!

PEBBLES is a total love bug with humans and is the definition of a lap dog! She is in foster with other dogs, but she is a diva and definitely wants to be queen of the household!

PEBBLES has a raspy bark as if she was a smoker at some point in her life...and it's absolutely adorable!

Give her a lap to snuggle in, her ducky and some cozy blankets and it's a wrap!

❤️ Meet MOLLY!

MOLLY is a gorgeous Pyr mix, about 4-5 months old and weighs about 40 lbs.

MOLLY is extremely sweet, affectionate and loving by nature. She’s a super smart pup and already mastered the crate, leash walking and potty training, too!

MOLLY is happy just following you around and giving gentle little kisses of appreciation. She is just beginning to take it all in.

MOLLY is enjoying access to plenty of puppy toys!She’s recently become braver and has stolen a shoe here and there!

MOLLY is great with other dogs of all sizes and seems to love kids, too!

MOLLY is excellent on the leash and on car rides, too!

💔 OREO had TECA surgery on his left ear on Tuesday!

Dr. White at Small Animal Surgical Service Of CT did an amazing job as always, and OREO is now recovering back at home. This is very tough surgery…and it’s a very rough recovery.

We hope the years of agony and pain he’s had to endure will soon come to an end.

An unexpected cost of this magnitude is a huge setback for a small rescue and it greatly impacts how many other dogs we can help.

But this isn't OREO'S fault...and if we turned him away, what would have come of him? OREO deserves the help he needs.

Surgery on his right ear is set for July 22nd!

PLEASE consider donating towards his nearly $8,000 total bill which includes TECA surgery in both ears as well as the months of treatment leading up to surgery. As of now we have raised only about $1,700 towards costs.

🧀 Meet BURRATA!

BURRATA is the last of the cheese boys looking for his forever charcuterie home. He’s a chi/doxy looking mix, about 3 years old, around 14 lbs.

This little guy is a walking contradiction! While he’s an amazing little guy, he needs time a patience to show his true self. He may be more on the shy side meeting new people and pets, but once he’s comfortable he’s:

✅ Dog friendly
✅ Cat friendly
✅ An on call babysitter
✅ Shadow dog

His ideal home would include lots of cuddles, attention, and cheesy snacks. Oh and he might just check in on you in the shower to make sure you’re ok.

BURRATA is currently in foster with other dogs, cats, and kids. While he was quick to open up in foster he’ll likely need more time show his true colors in his forever home.

We’ve learned that he grows very attached to those he loves. This kind of loyalty will inevitably transfer over to new adopters…it’s just going to take a day or so. He just so desperately wants someone to love!

He is potty trained, too!
