Dog p**p decoded! 💩 (Yep, we’re going there) 👀

Did you know that raw-fed dogs tend to have smaller, firmer and less smelly p**p?!

This is because a natural, well-balanced raw diet is easier to digest, rich in moisture and kinder on the gut🫶. You might also notice your raw-fed pup p**ps less. This is because nutrients are more easily absorbed, resulting in less waste.

💩 Healthy p**p checklist:

✅ Colour: Chocolate brown
✅ Shape: Log-shaped and segmented
✅ Consistency: Firm, not too hard or soft
✅ Smell: Mild odour /earthy smell
✅ Frequency: 1–2 times a day
✅ Extras: No blood, worms, or undigested food

🔍One of the best indicators of your pup's well-being is their p**p, telling us a lot about their digestive and overall health. If you have any concerns about your pup's stools or notice sudden changes, consult your veterinarian.

Don’t let anyone convince you that dry kibble is safer to feed your pet over minimally processed pet food.

In the past 5 years, over 69 million pounds of pet food have been recalled. The leading cause was mold contamination (aflatoxins), accounting for 60 million pounds, all from ultra-processed kibble.

The second most common reason was bacterial contamination. 8 million pounds were recalled due to harmful bacteria like Salmonella and Listeria. Kibble made up 97.7% of these recalls.

Refrigerated cooked foods accounted for 1.4%

Raw pet food was even lower, at just 0.7%

When it comes to safety, the data is clear: minimally processed pet food isn’t the risk—ultra-processed kibble is.
