Stow Kittens is a small group of foster homes in MA that provides foster care and adoption services for Red Clay Animal Rescue, a rescue group out of Savannah, GA. All the kittens have had basic Veterinary care - examination, deworming, age appropriate vaccines, and have been spayed/neutered and microchipped. Adoptions are done on a first meet, first adopt basis. Anyone interested in adopting a ca

You MUST meet the kittens in order to adopt; we do not hold or reserve kittens unless medically necessary. The adoption agreement you'll sign at the time of adoption requests that you provide a lifelong loving indoor home, provide regular Veterinary care, and do not have them declawed. A donation to Red Clay Animal Rescue is requested at the time of adoption to help support their continued rescue efforts. Donations can be made via Venmo, cash, check, or PayPal. Since Red Clay is a 501c3 organization, the donation form doubles as a receipt for tax purposes.

Update 8/29 8PM: Athos was adopted!

Hello everybody! Just a reminder that we have five wonderful kittens still waiting for their forever homes. A kitten refill is coming from Red Clay Animal Rescue soon, and since we have limited foster space this means that we have to leave five other kittens behind.

BUT not if they find homes this weekend!

We are available tonight and all day Saturday/Sunday, so please spread the word about these guys. Everyone is being fostered in Bolton.

Are you looking for the goofiest boy ever? Tigger is your man! He loves laying on his back next to you or on top of you, purring and getting his tummy rubbed.

Or maybe you're looking for a female kitten that is almost as goofy? Tigger's sister Roo is inquisitive, playful and just an all around happy and fun cat.

If an all-white kitten isn't your speed and you'd rather have a companion with deeper colors, you can't go wrong with handsome tabby boy Athos. He is soft and gentle and has an incredible deep purr.

If you're looking for an affectionate cuddly lap cat that will lay on your chest and likely groom you, we have TWO to choose from. Sigil and Phineas are wonderful male kittens that will shower you with love and affection starting from day 1.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our adoption event today! We are so grateful to Not Too Shaggy for once again hosting us in their wonderful space. This adventurous crew definitely kept us on our toes with their climbing antics, but luckily, they stayed far away from the guinea pigs! Most importantly, a massive congratulations to Kanga, Jaime, D'Art (cause I can't spell D'Artagnan), Ghost Pepper, Cinder, and Phoenix for finding their forever homes. We hope they bring you as much joy as they brought us!

🐾 Summer kitties, having a blast! 🐾

UPDATE 5/30/26 SANDWICH WAS ADOPTED!!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!

We're down to ONE older kitten still looking for the perfect home. Sandwich would very much prefer to get the heck out of here before the annoying little kittens come and his adoption fee has generously been sponsored! Please spread the word about this chill, handsome boy!

Meet Sandwich, formally known as Grilled cheese sandwich.
Sandwich may not be your "typical" orange male, but that's only because he received a rare full braincell. This ~ 11 month old, short-haired, buff orange creamsicle was originally found and fostered by a college student in Savannah GA. We suspect he was trying to sneak into class to put his braincell to work learning everything he could about any subject. He never did declare a major before he was forced to drop out for lack of funds.

He's studiously reserved until he gets to know you, but once he realizes you're safe, get ready for some great snuggles. This shy but gentle and sweet man has been waiting patiently for his human(s) to find him. Sandwich is amazing with gentle cats, picky with dogs (preferring a more relaxed canine companion), and would prefer a quieter home with adults.

He's neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated for FVRCP and Rabies until 2027, Felv/FIV negative, and has received general deworming medications as well as flea prevention.

Rusty has been ADOPTED!! He found the most perfect home where he will be loved and cared for. His imperfect face and gentle nature won over his new family immediately. Congratulations Rusty!! I will miss our nightly snuggles, but now maybe I can get to bed on time!

This lovable character has an undeniable yearning to be loved by absolutely everyone he meets! He rarely stops purring, and has recently started to make the most adorable tiny meows when he feels his food bowl needs a refill. He prefers food first, love second, but then playtime is a must. He loves feather wand toys as well as catnip mice. He's VERY good about using the sisal scratching posts and likes to look over his shoulder to make sure his foster mom sees that he's being the best boy. Once he gets a little praise for his scratching, he heads over for a head bump and butt scratch.

Little is known about Rusty's beginnings before he hopped into the car of a friendly woman. He most likely belonged to a local cat colony in Savannah, GA, but must have managed to dodge the traps for TNR events. He's definitely had a rough start to life if his face and ears are any indication. We suspect he was likely the victim in a few cat altercations as he is positive for FIV, which is transmitted by deep bite wounds from an infected cat. Like HIV, FIV can reduce immune tolerance to infections. Unlike humans, cats with FIV can be kept indoors so that their exposure to infectious disease, parasites, and other health hazards are kept to a minimum. This means they can live long, happy lives just like other cats. He can even live with FIV negative cats, provided the other cats don't bite him!

Rusty is now neutered, microchipped, current on FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, FIV positive, Felv negative, and has received general deworming medication with a recent negative f***l test for parasites.

UPDATE 4/15/26 Zach and Birdie have been adopted!!

Birdie the Boss & Zesty Zach!

Birdie and Zach didn't know each other until they arrived in MA a few weeks ago. Then, Birdie decided she wanted to be the boss of Zach forever. We're trying to make this girl's dream come true by finding the pair a home together!

Birdie (female, grey and white) is an inquisitive and confident little kitten and is one of the first to greet you when you walk in the door. Zach (male, black) is almost a year old, very sweet but a bit more reserved until he is comfortable in his surroundings. After two weeks with us he is sleeping in laps and actually running laps around the kitten room.

You could say Birdie is happy to lend her confidence to Zach, but it's clear she delights in telling him what to do (play, now!), where to nap (under this blanket, now!) and when a spa treatment is needed (face licks, now!). Birdie is his tough love therapy cat and we're just beginning to see Zach initiate play time with the other foster kittens.

For his part, Zach is content to be led around by the nose. He has a crazy cute primordial pouch with a patch of white fur that we call his "bikini bottom." Pretty awesome for an all black, slinky panther long baby. Zach also deserves credit for putting up with Birdie when she is in PIT VIPER mode (see video).

Birdie was rescued with a group of 4 other tiny kittens, severely underweight with no mother to be found. Her estimated birth date is 10/22/25. Zach was found over the summer wandering alone through the woods next to an apartment complex and has an estimated birth date of 4/17/25. Shortly after his rescue he developed FIP, but was treated and made a complete recovery.
