Mountain Haven Animal Rescue, a domestic non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to creating a new "leash" on life for homeless animals and those at risk.

At Mountain Haven we are all about creating and celebrating second chances for dogs and puppies in need. With donor support, volunteer talent and you we can provide rescue, rehoming, spay/neuter and surrender prevention services to dogs and puppies who would outherwise be facing a very uncertain and bleak future. Together we can create the second chances these animals so deperately need and deserve..thanks to all who support us in our endeavors and to all the new friends we will be meeting on this journey, you mean so very much to us. Friday has arrived, and Scarlett has an important reminder:

A little mischief makes life a lot brighter! 😈❤️

Just enough to make you laugh, create a memory, and occasionally cause Management to ask a few questions. 😂

We’re back! We’ve been a little quiet for a couple of days while life got busy, but Alex has volunteered to make up for lost time by bringing approximately three days’ worth of energy all at once. 😂

Happy Saturday from Chester — our Purveyor of Joy! ☀️🐾❤️

If happiness had a face, we’re pretty sure it would look a lot like this. ❤️

Chester approaches every day as though something wonderful is about to happen.

A new adventure? Wonderful!
Someone to meet? New best friend!
A beautiful day outside? BEST DAY EVER!
Treats? Now we’re talking. 😂

This sweet boy reminds us that we don’t always need a reason to be happy. Sometimes the sunshine is enough. Sometimes it’s being with someone you love. Sometimes it’s getting outside, finding a little adventure, or simply realizing that right here, right now, life is pretty darn good.

So Chester’s Saturday advice is simple:

Life asks us to hurry an awful lot. Riley reminds us that sometimes the best thing we can do is slow down long enough to actually notice the life we’re hurrying through.
