My biologist background makes me endlessly fascinated by the variation in the animals that go through the shop. I also love "reading" some of the stories of their lives that are more easily seen by a taxidermist from the inside. It's especially fun when I can share those stories with my clients, giving them a little glimpse of the life and times of the animal they harvested.

Yesterday I prepped a black melanistic beaver as well as normal colored one. Their tails told a story as well. One can only wonder about the types of stories a beaver might tell around a campfire.

If you have ever dreamed of hunting Africa, consider connecting with Josh Christensen at Outdoor Memories, myself here at Lazy Eight Taxidermy and Marupa Safaris.

One of the challenges of booking a hunt of a lifetime is not knowing what to expect. Horror stories abound of terrible outfitters, miserable accommodations and generally bad experiences.

We only work with proven outfitters that we have first-hand experience with to ensure a quality travel and hunt experience. Add in special rates and individual attention to equal a trip of a lifetime.

Marupa Safaris has been a long time partner that offers an amazing African experience. We had a fun and productive meeting with clients last night with great, food, drink and deals. Had a great time at the STERLING SPORTSMANS CLUB HUNT this past Saturday. It was great to see so many kids out with their families and friends enjoying a beautiful snowy day.
