With foster homes located in the south suburbs of Chicago, Heather's Foster Dogs, a non-profit corporation, promotes the well being of animals through fostering, adoption & placement services. We recommend heartworm prevention pills year round. Mosquito season in the Midwest is often unpredictable and it only takes one!

Plus did you know heartworm pills also prevent against other common worms such as round worms that can survive in the soil even through deep freezes?

So it turned out “Fidget” is “Junior” & had a dad who was looking for him after he got loose. We were able to help with a microchip so he never gets lost again & bring him up to date on vaccines. Sometimes rescue is connecting the dots & keeping families together. We’re glad that Junior was one of the rare strays that had someone looking for him.

Guiseppe also adopted! He ended up being a Foster to Forever after his foster mom realized what a wonderful fit he was. ...
