With foster homes located in the south suburbs of Chicago, Heather's Foster Dogs, a non-profit corporation, promotes the well being of animals through fostering, adoption & placement services. Heather's Foster Dogs is an IRS approved tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. You can send donations to Heather's Foster Dogs NFP, 3040 Cappelletti, South Chicago Heights, IL 60411 (please note this is a mailing address only; all dogs are in foster homes; we have no physical shelter). You can also designate Heathers Foster Dogs as the charity you support on Amazon Smile; Amazon will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases. Thank you so much for your support. Heather's Foster Dogs is a member of the No More Homeless Pets Network which works with rescue organizations and shelters around the country that are reducing euthanasia rates and saving lives in their communities.

Meet Mocha, a sweet and friendly 8 month old, 11 pound, spayed Shih Tzu mix pup with a curious mind and a shy demeanor. She’s incredibly smart & always eager to learn new things.

Mocha is looking for a family that can dedicate time to her training and help her become the best companion she can be. She thrives on gentle guidance and is quick to pick up new commands. Adopting Mocha means bringing a bundle of joy into your home, ready to explore the world by your side with love and enthusiasm.

Mocha will fit into almost any family. Kids should be age 5 and above.

Mocha is spayed, microchipped, tested heartworm negative as well as up to date on vaccines & monthly heartworm & flea preventatives.

Mocha’s adoption fee is $475.

All October long, Anti-Cruelty Chicago is offering FREE spay and neuter surgeries for pit bulls in honor of Pit Bull Awareness Month.

A deposit is required to reserve your appointment, but you’ll get 100% of it back when you show up for your scheduled surgery.

It’s not too early to plan for Halloween night safety🎃🎃🎃

It is not too soon to begin thinking about Halloween. I feed cats in the evening, but on Oct 31st, I make sure they are fed before their area becomes sCaRy. What helpful tips do you have for community cats and/or pets?
