We love all of our boxes, but this one holds a special place in our hearts. 💛 Designed especially for rescue dogs, it celebrates the start of their next chapter, their first night home. 🐾

The First Night Project by Three Yellow Dogs helps shelters and rescues send adopted dogs home with a thoughtful box of toys, treats, and everyday essentials, bringing a little comfort to a big transition.

Because every rescue dog deserves a warm “welcome home.”

Halloween is fun.
Your dog may have questions. 🎃🐕
Why does the doorbell keep ringing?
Why is that child a dinosaur?
Why can I smell an entire bucket of candy but apparently NONE of it is for me?
Halloween changes a lot about your dog’s normal environment, and candy isn’t the only thing we need to think about.
Before trick-or-treaters arrive:
🐾 Put the candy somewhere truly inaccessible
🐾 Secure your dog away from the front door
🐾 Check their ID and microchip information
🐾 Give them a quiet place to retreat
🐾 Skip the costume if they aren’t comfortable
🐾 Look at decorations from dog height
🐾 Secure the trash
🐾 Let them sit Halloween out if that’s what they need
And if you have a foster or newly adopted dog, don’t make Halloween the night you test how they’ll handle masks, doorbells and a house full of strangers.
There will always be another Halloween.
Building trust matters more. 💛
Save this for Halloween night and share it with another dog parent.
