This is your friendly reminder to make sure your pets are current on their flea preventatives !
Our community is seeing an explosion of fleas this year, and boy have they been tough to get rid of !!
With the temperatures dropping, the fleas are looking for a nice warm host, and will set up camp on anything with fur !
We highly recommend asking your veterinarian for recommendations on safe treatments and preventatives, and to stay away from cheap brands like Adam’s!
Always make sure your medication is dog or cat specific, and appropriate to your pets weight range.
We personally have seen great success with thinks like Revolution, Bravecto, Advatage, and Adventure ! Although we do not carry, or treat your pets with these medications, we do offer flea baths, which can kill the majority of living fleas on your animals, and will last up to the next cycle of flea eggs hatching.
Vacuuming daily, regular washing of your pets toys, beds, blankets and collars are also great to keep the bugs away.
Fleas can be found in all areas, whether that be housing developments, or rural farm lands, and do not require contact with other animals to be transferred.
