Do you remember Champ and Bolt, the wonderful pair who were born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH cats are lovingly called wobbly cats)?
These two with the biggest hearts quickly became favorites at PAWS, so you can imagine how happy we were to receive this :
"From the absolute deepest bottom of my heart, thank you for trusting me to give Bolt and Champ a home.
With how severe Bolts CH is, I didn't expect her to be very active. When she sees a wand toy, she will chase the thing to the ends of the earth for the chance to 'kill' it. She does not care; that toy is going down. She pounces incredibly accurately also.
But, when she isn't being the menace she likes to be, Bolt is so affectionate. She purrs, crawls, and stretches into your lap; then asks you to fall asleep on the floor with her. Itβs heart melting.
Champ is a companion with behavior that I've only seen in a dog. He comes when he's called; he follows; he's the bathroom guard; he jumps in the bed and takes up half of it.
He isn't much like Bolt in play time. Where Bolt is electric and pounce happy, Champ is a patient alpha predator. He lies in wait for the perfect opportunity to pounce on a toy. He really likes when a toy is hidden, then pops out.
As for them together, they are very obviously bonded. During the daytime, they cuddle on their blanket in my room for hours. They get annoyed when I walk in to check on them. It's the biggest stink eye I've ever gotten from a pet!
I can't believe how much they've turned my place into a home. I couldn't be happier with how happy they are.
They were meant to be together, and they deserve only the best. I'm happy to do my best to give it to them."
