Tech Tuesday Spotlight: Meet Destiny!

Destiny Homan is one of our skilled and compassionate Certified Veterinary Technicians!

Destiny has been working with us since September 2016, bringing almost a decade of dedication to the field.

Her Fur Family Includes:

• Sampson – a 9-year-old Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix
• Oakley – a 6-year-old Beagle
• Murphie – a 7-year-old kitty

Destiny loves the rewarding experience of seeing our most critical patients recover and get well enough to return home to their families.

She especially enjoys teching appointments and working in anesthesia - where she gets to use her skills to make a difference every single day.

Say hello to Chelsie, our amazing Client Service Representative Supervisor!

Chelsie has been a cornerstone of our front desk team for 9 years, making sure things run smoothly while keeping our clients and patients supported every step of the way.

At home, Chelsie is a proud pet parent to:

• Mia Tortilla – her 11-year-old German Shepherd
• Kitakat Queso – her 7-year-old Torbie

What Chelsie Loves Most About Her Job:

• Connecting with clients and their pets
• Watching patients grow over the years (from bouncy puppies and kittens to beloved seniors)

August's Employee of the Month is our wonderful Kaitlin!

Kaitlin is a customer service representative who has been a great asset to our team for about a year now. Her teammates nominated her for the coveted Employee of the Month award for many reasons, but here are some of the highlights:

- Kaitlin is always smiling, sharing her positive attitude with everyone who crosses her path

Starting September 3, 2025, we’re launching something new and improved to better serve your pets who are receiving chronic medication injections and/or adult vaccine boosters!

“Patient Care Visits” will be handled by our skilled veterinary team in a dedicated exam room allowing us to provide more thorough, personalized care during each appointment. They will include vitals and a brief assessment - to ensure your pet is responding well to their treatment.

The cost for these visits will be $24.25, but if your pet comes in frequently, you may want to check out our VCA CareClub Wellness Plans. Our Access Plan includes unlimited well/sick/ER patient care visits for $19.99/month which can offset or avoid this fee entirely.

We’re so excited to introduce the two team members who will be leading these visits:

• Heaven (left) has been in veterinary medicine for almost 13 years and will be available on Mondays and Thursdays.

• Rachel (right) has been in veterinary medicine for almost 8 years and will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Heaven and Rachel are both passionate about providing thorough, compassionate care, building strong client and patient relationships, and supporting fear-free visits.
